picture info	Stefan Lindberg Stefan Lindberg (born 1971 in Alingsås) is a Swedish writer, playwright and translator. He made his book debut in 1999 with the short story collection ''Tusen nålar'' and has since published five more fiction books. In 2002, he published the novel ''Min terapi'' and in 2008 the collection of short stories ''I Gorans ögon''. In 2014, he published the acclaimed novel ''Du vet väl om att du är värdefull'' and 2016 ''Nätterna på Mon Chéri, också'', also a novel, which revolves around the so-called "33-åringen", the Palme murder and its investigation. The latest publication is the novel ''Splendor'' (2020), which was nominated for the August Prize in the category of best fiction book. His dramatic works include ''Palme dör innan pau'' and ''Lavv''. The latter has been set up several times, both in Sweden and abroad. picture info	Alingsås Alingsås () is a locality and the seat of Alingsås Municipality in Västra Götaland County, Sweden. It had 24,482 inhabitants in 2010. Geography Geographically the city is situated by the outlet of the small rivulet Säveån into lake Mjörn. Transportation links are provided by the western main line railway (''Västra stambanan'') between Stockholm and Gothenburg, and by motorway through the European route E20. Next to Alingsås you can also find a small village called Sollebrunn. History Alingsås was founded as inhabitants from the city Nya Lödöse were made homeless as Danish troops burnt it down. Gustavus Adolphus granted Alingsås its Royal Charter in 1619, which makes it older than Västra Götaland's largest city Gothenburg (which was granted its charter in 1621). The prize is awarded to the best Swedish book of the year, in three categories. Prize In the years 1989-1992, the prize was awarded in one general category. Since 1992, the prize has been awarded in the categories Fiction, Non-Fiction, and Children's and Youth Literature. The prize is named after the writer August Strindberg. Selection All Swedish publishers may submit nominations for the award. In each category, a jury shortlists six titles each. These titles are then read and voted on by an assembly of 63 electors, 21 in each category. The electors come from across the country, and comprise booksellers, librarians and literary critics.
