Steenberg is a small community in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town, South Africa. It has a population of slightly more than 4,000 and mainly includes those belonging to the Cape Coloured community. The main center of the suburb is Military Road, which runs from west connecting Tokai, Cape Town, Tokai and Kirstenhof at the M4 Main Road and then east into the M5 road (Cape Town), M5 which provides access to Muizenberg and various other northern suburbs including Bellville, Cape Town, Bellville and Century City (Cape Town), Century City. Military Road has many small businesses lining its south side but also one of South Africa's largest retailers, Shoprite (South Africa), Shoprite, which has a branch located close to the M5. Zandvlei Estuary Nature Reserve
Zandvlei Estuary Nature Reserve (also spelt "Sandvlei") is a nature reserve and recreational area located in Cape Town, South Africa. Background Entering the ocean in the suburb of Muizenberg, Zandvlei is the only functioning estuary on Cape Town’s False Bay coast, open to the Atlantic Ocean throughout winter and in summer the mouth is manually closed by a sand bar to contain the water, and is opened monthly for a few days at full moon to maintain salinity levels and then closed again. It is also one of the most important estuaries for recruitment of fish such as garrick, steenbras and two species of stumpnose. The surrounding wetland is an important habitat for birds and has 166 species on its official list. There are a number of bird hides available to the public. Century City is a 250 ha suburb of Cape Town, South Africa. Century City is structured as a mixed-use development including entertainment, residential, retail and office components. It is located 10 km to the north-east of central Cape Town along the N1 motorway and is traversed by numerous waterways, wetlands and canals. Development Development began under Monex Development in 1997 and continues under the new owners, Rabie Property Group. Century City's original developments were the Ratanga Junction theme park and Canal Walk shopping centre. Muizenberg
Muizenberg ( , Dutch for "mice mountain") is a beach-side town in the Western Cape, South Africa. It is situated where the shore of the Cape Peninsula curves round to the east on the False Bay coast. M5 Road (Cape Town)
The M5 is an expressway in Cape Town, South Africa. It connects the northern suburbs (Milnerton) to Muizenberg in the south, and crosses both the N1 and the N2. For part of its length, from the N1 interchange to Plumstead, it is a limited-access freeway (motorway). From Mowbray to Muizenberg, it is parallel to the M4 Main Road. Route The M5 begins at the Potsdam interchange with the N7 Highway in the suburb of Dunoon. It goes south-south-west as Potsdam Road and reaches a junction with the M14 (Blaauwberg Road), where it becomes Koeberg Road and becomes a dual carriageway. Tokai, a large residential suburb of Cape Town, South Africa, is situated on the foothills of the Constantiaberg, (a large whaleback shaped mountain in the Table Mountain range) and is bordered by Steenberg and Kirstenhof to the south, Bergvliet to the east, Constantia to the north and the SAFCOL pine tree plantations against the mountain to the west. Cape Coloureds () are a South African ethnic group consisted primarily of persons of mixed race and Khoisan descent.
