Steadfast FC
Steadfast Football Club is a Ghanaian professional football club based in Tamale in the Northern Region of Ghana that was founded by Ghanaian politician Haruna Iddrisu. As for the season 2020/21, the club competes in Zone One of the Division One League which is the second tier of the football league system in Ghana, and the MTN FA Cup. The club plays their home fixtures at the Tamale Stadium, and are rivals with city neighbours Real Tamale United and Tamale City FC. History The club is owned by Ghanaian politician Haruna Iddrisu and its located in Tamale in the Northern Region of Ghana. In 2021, one of the key players of the team Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, won the 2021 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations and was also named the Best Player of the Tournament. Tamale Stadium
The Tamale Sports Stadium is a multipurpose stadium in Tamale, Ghana, mostly used for football matches as well as a place for hosting events and serves as the home stadium of Real Tamale United, Tamale City FC and Steadfast FC. The stadium which hosted some matches during the 2008 African Cup of Nations has a capacity of about 20,000 and it was completed in 2008 by the Shanghai Construction Group of China. The stadium looks similar to the Sekondi-Takoradi Stadium. It is below the Ghana Premier League. Haruna Iddrisu
Haruna Iddrisu (born 8 September 1970) is a Ghanaian lawyer and politician who is a member of the Seventh Parliament of the Fourth Republic of Ghana representing Tamale South. He served as the Minority Leader for NDC in Ghana's Parliament from January 2017 and was succeeded by Ato Forson. Early life and education Haruna Iddrisu was born in 1970 at Tamale, Ghana.He started his early education at Kulikuli school. Iddrisu studied at the University of Ghana between 1993 and 1997 where he obtained B.A. (Hons) in Sociology. He was active in student politics and was the President of the National Union of Ghana Students during his final year. Real Tamale United, often abbreviated as RTU, is a football club based in Tamale, Northern Region of Ghana. The team previously competed in the Ghana Division One League, after being relegated to the second tier in the 2013–14 Ghana Football Leagues Division One League. 2021 Africa U-20 Cup Of Nations
The 2021 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations was the 16th edition of the Africa U-20 Cup of Nations (23rd edition if tournaments without hosts are included), the biennial international youth football tournament organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for players aged 20 and below. In September 2018, it was decided that the tournament would be hosted by Mauritania. This will be the first edition in Africa U-20 Cup of Nations to have expanded to 12 teams instead of eight.
