Stay On My Side Tonight
''Stay on My Side Tonight'' is a five-track EP released by Jimmy Eat World through downloads on September 13, 2005 and physically released on October 4, 2005. It consists of three unreleased songs, a cover of the Heatmiser song "Half Right", and a remix of the ''Futures'' track "Drugs or Me". The title of the album is taken from a line in the song "Disintegration", the EP's opening track. Reception ''Stay on My Side Tonight'' received a positive review from Tim Sendra of AllMusic, who praised the three outtakes as possibly better than ''Futures'' and with "more life and power than one might expect", but calling the other tracks "interesting but not vital". IGN's Chris Carle rated the release a 6.5 out of 10, with reverse preferences: he wrote that the remix is the best song on the EP and the first three tracks "glide by forgettably, awash in a sea of jangly, same-sounding guitar riffs". Jimmy Eat World
Jimmy Eat World is an American rock band formed in 1993 in Mesa, Arizona. The band is composed of lead vocalist and lead guitarist Jim Adkins, rhythm guitarist and backing vocalist Tom Linton, bassist Rick Burch, and drummer Zach Lind. They have released ten studio albums, the last nine featuring the current lineup. The four-piece's commercial breakthrough came with the release of several singles from their album ''Bleed American'' (2001), four of which charted within the top 20 positions of the Alternative Songs chart, with " The Middle" reaching No. 1. Jim Adkins
James Christopher Adkins (born November 10, 1975), is an American rock musician who is best known as the lead guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter of the rock band Jimmy Eat World. Music career Jimmy Eat World (1993–present) Adkins grew up in Mesa, Arizona, and had been playing guitar since at least the early age of two. He has cited Def Leppard's song Photograph as an early influence that sparked his desire to become a guitarist, and had also learned songs by hair metal bands such as Mötley Crüe. Although he had an early preference for virtuosic guitar players, he broadened his horizons after being introduced to Fugazi by a cousin in Nebraska, where his family comes from. Tony Hajjar
Tony Hajjar (born August 17, 1974) is a Lebanese American drummer, best known for playing in At the Drive-In and Sparta. As of 2016, he is playing in the reformed At The Drive-In, as well as the new group, Gone Is Gone. Tony also produced and drummed on the forthcoming New Language record. Both New Language and Gone Is Gone made their live debuts on April 27, 2016 to a sold out crowd at the Dragonfly in Los Angeles. Biography Hajjar was born in Beirut, Lebanon.
