Statehood Day ( sh-Latn-Cyrl, Dan državnosti, Дан државности, separator=" / ") is a holiday celebrated in Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina that occurs every year on 25 November. On that day in 1943, at the first session of the State Anti-fascist Council for the National Liberation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (ZAVNOBiH) in Mrkonjić Grad, the "Resolution of ZAVNOBiH" was adopted. The resolution expressed determination of the peoples of BiH that their country shall be a brotherly community in which full equality of all its nationalities was to be ensured, that their republic was to be on equal footing with other republics in the Yugoslav federation, and that Bosnia and Herzegovina would reclaim its historical borders. Statehood Day ( hr, Dan državnosti, ) is an annual public holiday and national day celebrated on 30 May in Croatia to celebrate the constitution of the first modern multi-party Croatian Parliament in 1990. As a national day and public holiday, it is a non-working day for all government employees and majority of labour force based in Croatia. While there are no strict or established forms of celebration associated with the holiday, it is usually celebrated outdoors. The day is usually marked by family reunions, picnics, barbecues, flag-raising and national anthem-playing ceremonies and by civilian and military parades on quinquennial or decennial anniversaries. Statehood Day or Admission Day is a legal holiday in the state of Hawaii in the United States. It is celebrated annually on the third Friday in August to commemorate the anniversary of the state's 1959 admission to the Union. It was first celebrated in 1969. Statehood bills for Hawaii were introduced into the U.S. Congress as early as 1919 by Prince Jonah Kuhio Kalanianaole, the non-voting delegate sent by the Territory of Hawaii to the U.S. Congress. Additional bills were introduced in 1935, 1947 and 1950. In 1959, the U.S. Congress approved the statehood bill, the Hawaii Admission Act. Statehood Day or Coronation Day is an annual public holiday in Lithuania celebrated on July 6 to commemorate the coronation in 1253 of Mindaugas as the only King of Lithuania. The exact day of the event is disputable and was chosen according to the hypothesis of Edvardas Gudavičius, formulated in 1989. The day has officially been celebrated since 1991. Statehood Day ( Montenegrin and Serbian: Дан државности/Dan državnosti) is a holiday that occurs every year on 13 July in Montenegro to commemorate the day in 1878 on which the Berlin Congress recognized the Principality of Montenegro as the twenty-seventh independent state in the world. The date is also celebrated to commemorate the 1941 uprising against Italian occupation. Statehood Day or National Day ( sr-cyr, Дан државности, Dan državnosti) is a holiday celebrated every 15 February in Serbia to commemorate the outbreak of the First Serbian Uprising in 1804, which evolved into the Serbian Revolution against Ottoman Empire, Ottoman rule. The revolution ultimately resulted in the recognition of Serbia's National by the Ottoman Empire (formally in 1817, ''de jure'' in 1835). On the same day in 1835, during the rule of Miloš Obrenović, the first modern Constitution of Serbia, Serbian constitution was adopted in Kragujevac, known as the Sretenje Constitution or ‘Presentation of Jesus at the Temple, Candlemas Constitution’. Statehood Day ( sl, Dan državnosti) is a holiday that occurs on every 25 June in Slovenia to commemorate the country's declaration of independence from Yugoslavia in 1991. Although the formal declaration of independence did not come until 26 June 1991, Statehood Day is considered to be 25 June since that was the date on which the initial acts regarding independence were passed and Slovenia became independent. Slovenia's declaration jumpstarted the Ten-Day War with Yugoslavia, which it eventually won. Statehood Day is not to be confused with Slovenia's Independence and Unity Day, which is celebrated each year on 26 December in honour of 26 December 1990 official proclamation of the results of the plebiscite held three days earlier in which 88.5% of all Slovenian voters were in favor of Slovenia becoming a sovereign nation.
