State Road 263 (Florida)
State Road 263 (SR 263) is a north–south route that forms the western portion of Capital Circle, Tallahassee's "beltway". The route runs from State Road 363 (Woodville Highway), taking over from the hidden State Road 261 to its east. it then runs west, separating from US 319 at State Road 61/Crawfordville Highway, where SR 263 is signed from here to the northern terminus. It runs west, where after an intersection with County Road 2203, it passes by the northern end of Tallahassee Regional Airport, where the road then turns north, leaving airport grounds at the intersection of SR 371. It continues north, towards US 90 and I-10 before ending at US 27 northwest of Tallahassee. U.S. Route 27 (US 27) in Florida is a north–south United States Highway. It runs from the South Florida Metropolitan Area northwest to the Tallahassee Metropolitan Statistical Area. Throughout the state, US 27 has been designated the Claude Pepper Memorial Highway by the Florida Legislature. It was named after long-time Florida statesman Claude Pepper, who served in both the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives. Mission San Luis de Apalachee (also known as San Luis de Talimali) was a Spanish Franciscan mission built in 1656 in the Florida Panhandle, two miles west of the present-day Florida Capitol Building in Tallahassee, Florida. It was located in the descendent settlement of Anhaica (also as Anhayca Apalache or Inihayca) capital of Apalachee Province. The mission was part of Spain's effort to colonize the Florida Peninsula and to convert the Timucuan and Apalachee Indians to Christianity. The mission lasted until 1704 when it was evacuated and destroyed to prevent its use by an approaching militia of Creek Indians and South Carolinians. The site where the mission stood was designated a U.S. National Historic Landmark on October 15, 1966. State Road 10 (SR 10), also known as Atlantic Boulevard, is a major east–west state highway in the U.S. state of Florida. Mostly unsigned in favor of U.S. Highway 90, it runs from the Alabama state line (Perdido River) to Atlantic Beach. The only sections that are not signed as US 90 are north of Pensacola, where US 90 uses SR 10A and SR 10 is signed as U.S. Highway 90 Alternate, and east of south Jacksonville, where US 90 uses unsigned SR 212. The National High Magnetic Field Laboratory (MagLab) is a facility at Florida State University, the University of Florida, and Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico, that performs magnetic field research in physics, biology, bioengineering, chemistry, geochemistry, biochemistry.
