State Highway 9 (Texas 1917)
State Highway 9 (SH 9) is a highway near Copperas Cove, Texas. It connects Interstate 14 (I-14), U.S. Route 190 (US 190), and U.S. Highway 190 Business (Bus. US 190) outside of Copperas Cove to Farm to Market Road 116 (FM 116) on the north side of Copperas Cove. The highway opened on February 20, 2014 with a ribbon cutting at 2:00 PM. Route description The entire current route of SH 9 is a two-lane expressway sandwiched between the city of Copperas Cove and Fort Hood. It is and is entirely in Coryell County. SH 9 begins at an intersection with FM 116 (which is briefly a four-lane highway with a wide median) north of downtown Copperas Cove. It travels east entering the border of Fort Hood first crossing over Old Georgetown Road, then under Tank Destroyer Boulevard. Copperas Cove is a city located in central Texas at the southern corner of Coryell County with smaller portions in Lampasas and Bell counties. Fredericksburg (german: Friedrichsberg) is the seat of Gillespie County, in the U.S. state of Texas. As of the 2010 Census, this city had a population of 10,530. Fredericksburg was founded in 1846 and named after Prince Frederick of Prussia. Alice, Texas
Alice is a city in, and the county seat of, Jim Wells County, Texas, United States, in the South Texas region of the state. The population was 19,104 at the 2010 census. Alice was established in 1888. First it was called "Bandana", then "Kleberg", and finally "Alice" after Alice Gertrudis King Kleberg, the daughter of Richard King, who established the King Ranch. Skidmore is a census-designated place (CDP) in Bee County, Texas, United States. The population was 925 at the 2010 census. Geography Skidmore is located in southern Bee County at (28.255244, -97.681956). U.S. Route 181 passes through the community, leading north to Beeville, the county seat, and southeast to Sinton. State Highway 12 (SH 12) is an west–east state highway in the U.S. state of Texas that runs from Interstate 10 (I-10) in Vidor to the Louisiana state line at Deweyville. The route was designated on August 27, 1959, as a renumbering of SH 235 to match the numbering of Louisiana Highway 12 (LA 12), with which it connects. Route description SH 12 begins at an intersection with I-10 and US 90 on the north side of Vidor, and travels to the northeast. Interstate 37 (I-37) is a Interstate Highway located within the southern portion of the US state of Texas. The highway was first designated in 1959 as a route between Corpus Christi and San Antonio. Construction in the urban areas of Corpus Christi and San Antonio began in the 1960s, and the segments of the Interstate Highway in rural areas were completed by the 1980s. Prior to I-37, the route between Corpus Christi and San Antonio was served by a combination of State Highway 9 (SH 9) from Corpus Christi to Three Rivers and U.S. Highway 281 (US 281) from Three Rivers to San Antonio. As a result of the construction of I-37, SH 9 was removed from the State Highway System. Pleasanton is a city in Atascosa County, Texas, United States. The population was 8,934 at the 2010 census. Pleasanton's official motto is "The City of Live Oaks and Friendly Folks."
