State Highway 132 (Oklahoma)
State Highway 132, also known as SH-132, is a state highway in north-central Oklahoma. It connects State Highway 51 west of Hennessey to the Kansas state line near Manchester, and is long. It has no lettered spur routes. SH-132 was originally added to the state highway system in 1956, when it ran between Carrier and U.S. Route 64 (US-64) east of Nash. It was extended further northward to the Kansas state line in 1958, and southward, to its current southern terminus, in 1962. Route description SH-132 begins at State Highway 51 in rural Kingfisher County east of the unincorporated community of Lacey. It heads north from there, passing through unincorporated Cato before crossing into Garfield County. K-179 is an state highway in Harper County, Kansas. It runs from Oklahoma State Highway 132 (SH-132) the Oklahoma state line north to the city of Anthony, where it ends at K-44. The route was designated around 1956, and is not part of the National Highway System. Route description Just north of Manchester, Oklahoma, K-179 begins running west along the Oklahoma state line as a continuation of SH-132. The route then turns due north and continues through flat farm fields. A series of curves take the highway slightly to the northeast before it enters the city of Anthony, where it becomes known as Jennings Avenue. Just more than north of the Anthony city limits, K-179 meets its northern terminus at an intersection with K-44, also known as Main Street. Gibbon, Oklahoma
Gibbon is a populated place in Grant County, Oklahoma. It is southeast of Manchester and northwest of Wakita. While never formally incorporated, the town was given a post office on March 26, 1896 by early settler William H McGibbon, to which he attached the “Gibbon” name. Located on a rail line, the town had two grain elevators, two general stores, a railroad depot, a lumber yard, a cheese factory, a stockyard and a hotel by 1915.
