State Highway 107 (Texas)
State Highway 107 (SH 107) is a state highway in the U.S. state of Texas that runs from Mission to Combes in Deep South Texas. Route description SH 107 begins at an intersection with Interstate 2/ US Route 83 in Mission and travels north through the center of town. It reaches an intersection with the old routing of US 83 and Texas State Highway 495 in Mission before exiting to the north. It passes through Palmhurst and Alton before turning right on Mile 7 Road. It then travels east through McAllen into downtown Edinburg, where it intersects the Business Route of US Route 281 and then I-69C/US 281 just to the east. It continues east through rural farmlands, passing through the towns of Elsa, Edcouch, and La Villa. The route then turns southeast into Cameron County, passing through Santa Rosa. Texas State Highway 120
Below is a list and summary of some of the deleted state highways (i.e., those with no current routing) as outlined by the Texas Department of Transportation designation files, indicated by having zero current mileage. SH 1 State Highway 1 ran from El Paso through Dallas to Texarkana. It was the first highway designated in 1917. In 1926, the United States Highway System was designated, with US 80 colocated from El Paso to Dallas and US 67 from Dallas to Texarkana. On September 26, 1939, the dual designations were removed, leaving SH 1 only on a small stretch west of Dallas. This section was redesignated as State Loop 260 on August 20, 1952. Aspermont, Texas
Aspermont is a town in the U.S. state of Texas, and is the county seat of Stonewall County. The population was 835 at the 2019 census. History The town was established in 1889. Aspermont means "rough mountain" in Latin, and is probably a reference to the nearby Double Mountains. The city was founded by A. L. Rhomberg of Swiss-Austrian descent, who might have been a descendant of the noble family Aspermont from Graubünden, which is known to have relocated to Dornbirn in the Austrian part of the Rhine Valley and changed the name to Rhomberg. Interstate 69E
Interstate 69E (I-69E) is a north–south freeway running through South Texas. Once complete, the freeway will begin in Brownsville and head northward before terminating near Victoria as both I-69W and I-69E merge into I-69 toward Houston. For its entire length, I-69E runs concurrently with U.S. Highway 77 (US 77). The route currently exists in two segments: a segment from its southern terminus in Brownsville to the Willacy– Kenedy county line and a shorter segment south of Corpus Christi.
