The State Agrarian University of Moldova ( ro, Universitatea Agrară de Stat din Moldova) is a university located in Chişinău, Moldova. It was founded in 1933. Organization The State Agrarian University of Moldova (SAUM) is the only higher agricultural education institution in the Republic of Moldova and the first higher education institution founded in Chişinău. SAUM has a history that began on 9 April 1933, when King Carol II of Romania promulgated the Law concerning the transformation of Agricultural Sciences Section of the University of Iaşi into the ''Faculty of Agricultural Sciences'' with its center in Chişinău. In 1938, the institution was renamed the ''Faculty of Agronomy'' and became administratively part of the newly established Gheorghe Asachi Polytechnic School. Igor Dodon (; born 18 February 1975) is a Moldovan politician who previously served as the president of Moldova from 23 December 2016 to 24 December 2020. He currently serves as the leader of the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova. Education in Moldova is currently the responsibility of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research. History In 1990, the average Moldovan spent six years in school, and only 30% of people older than 15 had completed secondary education. Mircea Snegur (; born 17 January 1940) is a Moldovan politician who was served as first President of Moldova from 1990–1997. Before that, he served as Chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet 1989–1990 (head of state) and Chairman of the Supreme Soviet from 27 April to 3 September 1990. Sfatul Țării Palace
The Sfatul Țării Palace is a building in Chișinău, Moldova. Overview The building is located near Central Chișinău. It served as a meeting place for the Sfatul Țării, the assembly which proclaimed the independence of the Moldavian Democratic Republic in 1917 then union with Romania in 1918. The building was heavily damaged in the Second World War. It is currently home to the Academy of Music, Theatre and Fine Arts.
