Stasera Sciopero
''Stasera sciopero'' is a 1951 Italian comedy film directed by Mario Bonnard. Plot Augusto, rich and miserly ''pizzicagnolo'', is attacked on his way home. During the fight the attacker is fatally wounded with his own revolver. He was a poor fool, known for his incurable prodigality. In the clinic where he is hospitalized, Augusto is subjected to a particular operation: the surgeon, after learning that a prodigal died fighting with a miser, decides to insert the brain of the poor attacker into the skull of Augustus. The result of the operation transforms the pizzicagnolo: he experiences moments of prodigality alternating with as many relapses into avarice. In a moment of euphoria he agrees to the wedding of his daughter, always opposed for reasons of convenience, and during the wedding banquet he is hit in the head by an iron ball: finally the fusion of the two brains is completed. Mario Bonnard
Mario Bonnard (24 December 1889 – 22 March 1965) was an Italian actor and film director. Bonnard was born and died in Rome. He began his cinematic career as an actor becoming a popular romantic lead in numerous silent films made before World War I. In 1917 he ventured into film directing for the first time. Before the arrival of sound films he worked for a period in Germany in films directed by Luis Trenker. Back in Italy in 1932, he became a prolific director working with the major stars of the time as: Assia Noris, Elsa Merlini, Amedeo Nazzari, Luisa Ferida, Henry Viarisio. ''Il feroce Saladino'' (1937) was the most popular of his films of the 1930s. During the war he continued to work. Claudio Villa (singer)
Claudio Villa (born Claudio Pica; 1 January 1926 – 7 February 1987) was an Italian singer and actor. Biography Tenor Claudio Villa was born Claudio Pica in the Trastevere quarter of Rome in 1926. He recorded over 3000 songs, sold 45 million records, and appeared in 25 musicals during his career. His parents gave him the name "Claudio" in honor of Claudio Serio. Many songs made famous by Villa, like "'A Tazza 'E Cafe'," were recorded for the Fonit Cetra label. Villa died in 1987; on his gravestone are the words "Vita sei bella, morte fai schifo" (''"Life, you are fine; death, you stink"''). Together with Domenico Modugno Villa holds the record for the most wins at the Sanremo Music Festival, where he won the competition in 1955, 1957, 1962 and 1967.
