Stars Go Racing
Stars Go Racing was a six-part reality programme which aired in the summer of 2011 on RTÉ One. Six Irish personalities were shown the business of horse training from six established Irish trainers and then competed against each other at race meetings in Ireland. The final of the competition took place at Leopardstown. The first episode aired on 20 July 2011. The competition was won by presenter Ella McSweeney. The Ireland national rugby union team is the men's representative national team for the island of Ireland in rugby union. The team represents both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. Mike Denver
Michael Fallon (born 15 June 1980 in Portumna, County Galway) known as Mike Denver, is an Irish country singer. Career Starting touring at age 16, he later on met manager Willie Carty who signed him. Denver recorded his first album ''Wings to Fly'' in 2003. In 2008, he recorded a song with George Jones titled "The Real Deal". He has released a number of albums. Ella McSweeney
Ella McSweeney (born 31 October 1978) is an Irish food and farming journalist and reporter. She has worked for BBC, RTÉ (Ireland's national broadcaster) and the Guardian newspaper. She graduated from Trinity College, Dublin and is a post graduate student in food policy at City University, London. Early life Ella McSweeney grew up in Ireland. She graduated with a first-class honours degree in science - specialising in zoology - from Trinity College, Dublin. Career Radio McSweeney studied science at Trinity College, Dublin, specialising in zoology.[1] She began working for RTÉ Radio in 2000, producing Future Tense and Nature's Web. Jean Byrne (October 17, 1926 – August 9, 2015) was an American educator who was the first lady of New Jersey from 1974 to 1982 during the tenure of her former husband, two-term Governor Brendan Byrne. Early life and education Byrne was born Jean Featherly in Newark, New Jersey, to George Featherly and the former Jane Crysler. She was raised in nearby West Orange. Alan Quinlan (''Irish: Ailín Ó Caoindealbhain'', born 13 July 1974) is a retired Irish rugby union player. He played for Munster and was registered to All-Ireland League side Shannon. He retired from rugby in May 2011. Early years Quinlan was educated at Abbey CBS in Tipperary and worked for a motor dealer after leaving school. He began his rugby career with Clanwilliam FC. Quinlan moved from Clanwilliam to join Shannon U20s in 1994. He captained the Irish Youth Team against Scotland in 1993. RTÉ One ( ga, RTÉ a hAon) is an Irish free-to-air flagship television channel owned and operated by Raidió Teilifís Éireann (RTÉ). It is the most-popular and most-watched television channel in the country and was launched as ''Telefís Éireann'' on 31 December 1961, it was renamed ''RTÉ'' in 1966, and it was renamed as RTÉ 1 upon the launch of RTÉ 2 in 1978. It is a creation of Waddell Media, who are behind '' How Long Will You Live?'' and '' Looking For Love''. Presented by expert hotelier brothers Francis and John Brennan of the five-star Park Hotel in Kenmare, County Kerry, the premise of the show is that business makeovers are given by the duo to B&Bs, guesthouses and small hotels across Ireland. The advice given covers various aspects of management, including staffing, catering arrangements, menus, room inspections and indoor and outdoor redecoration. Francis Brennan (hotelier)
Francis Brennan is an Irish hotelier and television personality. Personal life Brennan was raised in Balally Drive, just off Sandyford Road and close to Dundrum, Dublin.
