Starlite Terrace
''Starlite Terrace'' is a contemporary novel in four stories about the American film milieu written by Patrick Roth, published by Seagull Books in 2012. Setting and structure “Starlite Terrace” is the name of the Los Angeles apartment complex arranged around a swimming pool, where the plot unfolds in 2002 and 2003. Four tenants tell their Hollywood-tinged life stories to a fifth, who is also the main narrator (who remains nameless). Attracted by the glamour of show business, Rex, Moss, Gary and June had moved to the movie capital at a young age. In conversations with the narrator, they recount key events and turning points in their lives, great expectations and bitter disappointments. Their stories, mostly rendered as dialogues, revolve around love and guilt, death and redemption, existential themes, which find expression in archetypal images. Starlite Terrace Schild
Starlite is an intumescent material said to be able to withstand and insulate from extreme heat. It was invented by British hairdresser and amateur chemist Maurice Ward (1933–2011) during the 1970s and 1980s, and received significant publicity after coverage of the material aired in 1990 on the BBC science and technology show '' Tomorrow's World''. The name Starlite was coined by Ward's granddaughter Kimberly. The American company Thermashield, LLC said it acquired the rights to Starlite in 2013 and replicated it. It is the only company to have itself publicly demonstrated the technology and have samples tested by third parties. "Happy Together" is a song written by Garry Bonner and Alan Gordon (songwriter), Alan Gordon and recorded by American rock music, rock band the Turtles. It was released as a single, b/w "Like the Seasons", in January 1967, and peaked at number one on the US Billboard charts, ''Billboard'' Billboard Hot 100, Hot 100, becoming the band's first and only chart-topper there. The song also reached the top 20 in diverse countries, including number 2 in Canada and number 12 in the UK.
