This is a list of currently or to be released ''Stargate'' literature. Based on the movie Based on the television series Short fiction The official ''Stargate Magazine'', produced by Titan Publishing, began publishing short stories written by Fandemonium authors in their 8th issue. The stories alternate between both ''SG-1'' and ''Atlantis''. The magazine was available in the UK and internationally through Diamond Comic Distributors' Previews catalogue, and ended with issue #36. Stargate Literature
''Stargate'' literature comprises the novels and short stories in the Stargate, ''Stargate'' franchise fictional universe (based on either the original ''Stargate (film), Stargate'' film or the ''Stargate SG-1'', ''Stargate Atlantis'' and ''Stargate Universe'' television shows) as well as non-fiction devoted to the franchise. ''Stargate'' literary works follow no strict continuity with the series or each other, and are often considered to be non-canon (fiction), canon. This is evident in the fact that there is a period of roughly a year between the original idea for a novel and the finalized product, causing problems for authors as they are unaware as to how the franchise will develop and change during the writing process. Despite this, the editors of ''Stargate'' literature function as the medium between the author and the production company. Steven Savile
Steven Savile (born 12 October 1969) is a British fantasy, horror and thriller writer and editor living in Sweden. His published work includes novels and numerous short stories in magazines and anthologies. Career Steven Savile started out writing and reviewing play-by-mail games in the UK in the late 1980s, then launched his own company, Games (intentionally misspelled), before working for Games Workshop. Martha Wells (born September 1, 1964) is an American writer of speculative fiction. She has published a number of fantasy novels, young adult novels, media tie-ins, short stories, and nonfiction essays on fantasy and science fiction subjects. Her novels have been translated into twelve languages. Wells has won four Hugo Awards, two Nebula Awards and three Locus Awards for her science fiction series ''The Murderbot Diaries''. Melissa Scott (born 1960, in Little Rock, Arkansas) is an American science fiction and fantasy author noted for her science fiction novels featuring LGBT characters and elaborate settings. Biography Scott studied history at Harvard College and Brandeis University, and earned her PhD in comparative history. She published her first novel in 1984, and has since written some two dozen science fiction and fantasy works, including three co-authored with her partner, Lisa A. Barnett.
