''Star Wars'' is a comic book series published by Marvel Comics from April 12, 1977 to May 27, 1986. Featuring classic '' Star Wars'' characters Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Chewbacca, , and R2-D2, the first six issues adapt the May 1977 film '' Star Wars''. The series chronicled their subsequent adventures for 107 issues and three annuals, including a six-issue adaptation of the 1980 sequel film ''The Empire Strikes Back'' in 1980–1981. C-3PO () or See-Threepio is a humanoid robot character in the '' Star Wars'' franchise who appears in the original trilogy, the prequel trilogy and the sequel trilogy. Space Opera
Space opera is a subgenre of science fiction that emphasizes space warfare, with use of melodramatic, risk-taking space adventures, relationships, and chivalric romance. Set mainly or entirely in outer space, it features technological and social advancements (or lack thereof) in faster-than-light travel, futuristic weapons, and sophisticated technology, on a backdrop of galactic empires and interstellar wars with fictional aliens, often in fictional galaxies. Mos Eisley is a spaceport town in the fictional ''Star Wars'' universe. ''Conan the Barbarian'' is a comics book title starring the sword-and-sorcery character created by Robert E. Howard, published by the American company Marvel Comics.
