Alegre Roque Teodoro Antao (11 September 1932 – 20 July 2016), known professionally as Star of Arossim, was an Indian singer, composer, dramatist, director, and actor who primarily worked on the Tiatr, Konkani stage. Regarded as a multifaceted artiste and one of the stalwarts of the Konkani language, Konkani stage. A skilled bongo drum, bongo and conga player, he is best known for being part of the ''Bomboikar Group'' for their biannual shows. Antao, alongside C. Alvares, M. Boyer, Prem Kumar, Souza Ferrao, Remmie Colaco, Alfred Rose (singer), Alfred Rose, and various others, held a deep reverence for the stage and made a conscious effort not to overstep its boundaries. Their timeless melodies have now become beloved classics among Goan musical groups. Mormugao is a seaport city situated in the eponymous Mormugao taluka (municipality) of the South Goa district, South district, in the Goa state, India. Digambar Kamat (born 8 March 1954) is an Indian politician. He was the Chief Minister of Goa from 2007 to 2012. Manohar Parikar succeeded him after his term as the Chief Minister of Goa. From 2006 to 2019, he was the president of Swimming Federation of India. Currently, he serves as an MLA from the Margao constituency. Early life Digambar was born in Margao. Margao
Margao or Madgaon is the commercial capital of the Indian state of Goa. It stands on banks of the Sal river and is the administrative headquarters of Salcete sub-district and South Goa district.
