''Star Ace'' is a role-playing game published by Pacesetter Ltd in 1984. Description ''Star Ace'' is a science-fiction system. The rules are simple; most actions are resolved by checking against a single multi-purpose table. Player characters are Star Aces, interstellar outlaws who oppose the Empire. The game includes a rulebook (64 pages), a campaign setting, the "Wilderness Briefing Manual" (32 pages), an introductory scenario "Deuces Wild" (16 pages), a star map, and counters. The game is compatible with ''Chill'' and ''Timemaster''. Publication history ''Star Ace'' was designed by Mark Acres and Gali Sanchez, and was published by Pacesetter Ltd in 1984 as a boxed set including a 64-page book, a 32-page book, and a 16-page book, a large color map, a cardstock counter sheet, and dice. A star is an astronomical object comprising a luminous spheroid of plasma held together by its gravity. The nearest star to Earth is the Sun. Many other stars are visible to the naked eye at night, but their immense distances from Earth make them appear as fixed points of light. The most prominent stars have been categorised into constellations and asterisms, and many of the brightest stars have proper names.
