Starlight Media (stylised as starlight.media), previously stylised as StarLightMedia is the largest Ukraine, Ukrainian broadcasting group, composed of six television stations and nine other media and advertising companies. It was founded 11 November 2009 in Kyiv. In 2013 its market share was 30.17% (GfK Ukraine#Central and Eastern Europe, GfK Ukraine research, panel 50K+) and in 2014 - 27.85% of the 14-49 audience (Nielsen Media Research, Nielsen research, panel 50K+). Its market share in 2012 was 34% for the audience aged 14–49 and in 2014 - 32% (GfK Ukraine research, panel 50K+). In 2015 the group's share of the audience of 14-49 year olds was 27.33% (50K+, Nielsen's television audience research). Its margin over its closest competitor is 46%, and for middle and upper income Ukrainians — 54%. Novyi Kanal (Ukrainian: Новий Канал) is a Ukrainian television channel. The channel is a part of the Starlight Media broadcasting group, created by Viktor Pinchuk. History The channel was launched on July 15, 1998. At first, it was broadcast only in Kyiv, but since 1999, it has extended its range to six other regions of Ukraine. Starting in 2000, the channel has been received in more than 17 major cities. Novyi Kanal has been transmitted by satellite since December 20, 2000. On March 1, 2001, the channel was the first in Ukraine to switch to round-the-clock broadcasting. In 2002, Novyi Kanal was third in Ukrainian television ratings after Inter and 1+1. Olena Kuchma Pinchuk ( uk, Олена Леонідівна Пінчук, Olena Leonidivna Pinchuk; born December 3, 1970; often written in the Russian form Елена Пинчук, Elena Pinchuk) is the daughter of Ukrainian second president Leonid Kuchma, founder of ANTIAIDS Foundation, and Head of the Supervisory Board of the biggest Ukrainian media group, StarLightMedia. ( uk, Хто зверху?; English: ''Who is on top?'') is the Ukrainian game show and entertainment television program, which airs on the Novyi Kanal every Thursday since its debut on March 10, 2012.
