Stanley F. Gaines
Stanley Francis Gaines (February 12, 1891 – September 17, 1950) was an American politician who served as a Democratic Party (United States), Democratic member of the Mississippi House of Representatives, representing Bolivar County, Mississippi, Bolivar County, from 1916 to 1920. Biography Stanley Francis Gaines was born on February 12, 1891, in Bowling Green, Kentucky. His parents were Len H. Gaines and Mary Jannette (Francis) Gaines. He attended the University of Mississippi. He was a First lieutenant, First Lieutenant of the Mississippi National Guard. He was the Alderman of Boyle, Mississippi, from 1913 to 1915. In 1915, he was elected to the Mississippi House of Representatives, representing Bolivar County, Mississippi, Bolivar County, as a Democratic Party (United States), Democrat. He married Louise C. Bolivar County ( ) is a County (United States), county located on the western border of the U.S. state of Mississippi. As of the 2020 United States census, 2020 census, the population was 30,985. Mississippi House Of Representatives
The Mississippi House of Representatives is the lower house of the Mississippi Legislature, the lawmaking body of the U.S. state of Mississippi. According to the state constitution of 1890, it is to comprise no more than 122 members elected for four-year terms. The University of Mississippi (byname Ole Miss) is a public research university that is located adjacent to Oxford, Mississippi, and has a medical center in Jackson. It is Mississippi's oldest public university and its largest by enrollment.
