''Standing Tall'' (french: La Tête haute) is a 2015 French drama film directed by Emmanuelle Bercot. It was selected to open the 2015 Cannes Film Festival. Emmanuelle Bercot (born 6 November 1967) is a French actress, film director and screenwriter. Her film '' Clément'' was screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2001 Cannes Film Festival. Diane Rouxel (born August 14, 1993) is a French actress. She was nominated for the César Award for Most Promising Actress in 2016 for her role in the film '' Standing Tall''. She received the Prix Romy Schneider in 2019. Life and career Diane Rouxel grew up in the Haute-Savoie region of France, and studied visual arts. Her first film role came in 2014's ''The Smell of Us'', directed by Larry Clark, in which she plays a member of a group of skaters who, to pass the time, becomes involved with drink, drugs, and prostitution. The Prix Jacques Prévert du Scénario is a French film award created in 2007 by the French Screenwriters Guild (''La Guilde Française des Scénaristes''), a trade association which represents more than 350 screenwriters working in the film, television and animation sectors in France.
