"Stand with You" is the fourth single from J. Williams' first studio album, '' Young Love''. The song features Williams' sister, Lavina Williams. Music video The music video was financially supported by New Zealand On Air. The music video starts with a teenaged boy window shopping, then walking through a train station, where he is met by a group of other boys who tease and bully him about a flier for a talent quest in his bag, before walking to a skating half-pipe, where he watches J. Williams dance. When invited to join in, he walks away. The boy walks home and teaches himself to hip-hop dance, intending to enter the talent quest. On the morning of the talent quest, the boy finds a pair of new shoes left by Williams. The video closes with the boy executing his dance routine, with the audience, including Williams, cheering for him. Lavina Williams
Lavina Rose Williams (born 13 June 1979) is a New Zealand musical artist and musical theatre performer. Williams began her career as a member of the 1990s the girl group Ma-V-Elle. The group had multiple songs in the New Zealand music charts, including ''Never Say Goodbye'', ''Freedom'', ''Show Me Heaven'', and ''Three Flow''. In 2006, Williams competed in the 4th season of Australian Idol (season 4), Australian Idol, finishing in the top 8 of the competition. Williams briefly joined her younger sister's girl group Young Divas in 2007. She has since pursued a musical theatre career, performing in The Lion King, Hairspray, Dream Girls, and Sister Act. As a singer, she has been the backing vocalist for many New Zealand artists including Ginny Blackmore and Stan Walker. She featured in her brother J. Williams (singer), J. A half-pipe is a structure used in gravity extreme sports such as snowboarding, skateboarding, skiing, freestyle BMX, skating, and scooter riding. Overview The structure resembles a cross-section of a swimming pool, essentially two concave ramps (or quarter-pipes), topped by copings and decks, facing each other across a flat transition, also known as a ''tranny''. Originally half-pipes were half sections of a large diameter pipe. Since the 1980s, half-pipes contain an extended ''flat bottom'' between the quarter-pipes. The Official New Zealand Music Chart ( mi, Te Papa Tātai Waiata Matua o Aotearoa) is the weekly New Zealand top 40 singles and albums charts, issued weekly by Recorded Music NZ (formerly Recording Industry Association of New Zealand). Hip hop dance is a range of street dance styles primarily performed to hip hop music or that have evolved as part of hip hop culture.
