Stan Van Samang
Stan Van Samang (born 19 March 1979 in Wijgmaal, Leuven) is a Belgian actor and singer. Career He played the role of 'Kevin' in one of Flanders' famous soaps called ''Wittekerke''. Van Samang appeared in other Flemish TV series such as ''Flikken'' and ''Rupel'', and in the Belgian movies ''Windkracht 10: Koksijde Rescue'' (Hans Herbots, 2007) and ''Vermist'' (Jan Verheyen, 2007). In 2006, he was discovered as a music talent during the national TV shows ''Steracteur Sterartiest'' ( VRT), a show in which actors sang for charity. The winner of the shows earned money for that charity. Stan Van Samang won and got a record deal a few weeks later. On 7 March 2007 he made a record deal with EMI Group. He released his debut album ''Welcome Home'' on 23 November 2007. The album is produced by Eric Melaerts (Clouseau, Soulsister). Ratatouille (film)
''Ratatouille'' is a 2007 American computer-animated comedy-drama film produced by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. The eighth film produced by Pixar, it was written and directed by Brad Bird, who took over from Jan Pinkava in 2005, and produced by Brad Lewis, from an original idea by Pinkava, who was credited for conceiving the film's story with Bird and Jim Capobianco. TMF Awards
The TMF Awards were an annual television awards show broadcast live on TMF (The Music Factory). The first Dutch TMF Awards were held in 1995, as a brand extension to the recently launched local Dutch music channel TMF. The show was very small and held in the company cafeteria. However throughout the years the event gradually moved to bigger venues, and for some time now, it is now being held in Rotterdam Ahoy, a venue which can seat 10,000 people. In 2006, the show was held in the 'Heineken Music Hall' in Amsterdam. Since 1998 (with the arrival of the Belgian channel, broadcasting in Dutch, purely for the Flemish part of the country) a second TMF Awards show was launched. It started out in a local Antwerp Disco called 'Zillion' (which no longer exists, for a crowd of 2,000 people), and gradually moved to Flanders Expo in Gent (for a crowd of 8,000 people). Ketnet
Ketnet is a Dutch-language public children's television channel in Belgium owned and operated by the VRT, Flemish public broadcaster. It broadcasts a mix of locally produced and imported productions on the VRT3 channel from 6am until 8pm. On 1 December 1997, BRTN 2 was replaced by Canvas and Ketnet. On 1 May 2012, Ketnet has been moved on a new channel, timesharing with Op 12. Op 12 closed on 31 December 2014. The preschool programmes are broadcast on Ketnet Junior between 10am to 7pm on Canvas.
