Stan Honda
Stan Honda is an Americans, American photojournalist. Career Honda's first job as a professional photojournalist, following working as a volunteer photojournalist at the Krampus newspaper of the University of California at San Diego, was a 1981 gig at the Daily Californian. Since then, Honda has been employed by numerous publications, including: the San Diego Union Tribune, the Los Angeles Times, New York Newsday, The National Post, and Agence France-Presse. Honda is known for capturing one of the most iconic images of the aftereffects of al Qaeda's attacks of September 11, 2001, a photo of Marcy Borders, a survivor of the collapse of the World Trade Center (1973–2001), World Trade Center, so completely covered in white dust, that a viewer would have to look twice to recognize that she was African-American. Marcy Borders
Marcy Borders (July 19, 1973 – August 24, 2015) was an American legal assistant who worked for Bank of America at its branch located in the World Trade Center North Tower and survived its collapse, following the attacks on September 11, 2001. Stan Honda, a photographer for Agence France-Presse, captured an image of Borders, completely covered in dust from the building collapse, that subsequently became widely described as "iconic". The image became so well known and so widely distributed that Borders became known as "The Dust Lady". Personal impact A resident of Bayonne, New Jersey, the 28 year-old Borders was working on the 81st floor inside of the North Tower at the time of the attack. A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between Earth and the Sun, thereby obscuring the view of the Sun from a small part of the Earth, totally or partially. Such an alignment occurs during an eclipse season, approximately every six months, during the new moon phase, when the Moon's orbital plane is closest to the plane of the Earth's orbit. Svalbard
Svalbard ( , ), also known as Spitsbergen, or Spitzbergen, is a Norwegian archipelago in the Arctic Ocean. North of mainland Europe, it is about midway between the northern coast of Norway and the North Pole. The islands of the group range from 74° to 81° north latitude, and from 10° to 35° east longitude. The largest island is Spitsbergen, followed by Nordaustlandet and .
