Stan Frownfelter
Stan S. Frownfelter (born May 12, 1951) is an American businessman and former Democratic member of the Kansas House of Representatives, representing the 37th district in Wyandotte County. He was first elected in 2006 and took office on January 3, 2007. He served as the House Assistant Minority Leader from 2017 to 2019. Until 2020, he had never faced primary opposition. Frownfelter has a bachelor's degree from Emporia State University. Frownfelter is a member of Sigma Tau Gamma, and joined in 1969 while at Emporia State. In 2019, Frownfelter ran for the Wyandotte County Public Utilities Board and lost. During that campaign, Frownfelter told a debate audience that he would not run for reelection to the Kansas legislature in 2020. Frownfelter lost the August 4, 2020, Democratic primary election to Aaron Coleman. Wyandotte County (; county code WY) is a county in the U.S. state of Kansas. As of the 2020 census, the population was 169,245, making it Kansas's fourth-most populous county. Its county seat and most populous city is Kansas City, with which it shares a unified government. Wyandotte County is directly north of Johnson County, Kansas, and west of Kansas City, Missouri. Herington, Kansas
Herington is a city in Dickinson and Morris counties in the U.S. state of Kansas. As of the 2020 census, the population of the city was 2,109. History 19th century Herington was named after its founder, Monroe Davis Herington. His name at birth was Davis Monroe Herrington, but he later dropped the second "r" from his last name. The first post office in Herington was established in February 1884. In 1887, Mr. Herington successfully got the Chicago, Kansas and Nebraska Railway to build through Herington.
