Stan Cullimore
Ian Peter Cullimore (born 6 April 1962) is an English musician, journalist and actor. He played guitar, between 1983 and 1988, for the Hull-based indie rock band The Housemartins. Early life He was born in Stapleford, Cambridgeshire. He moved to Birmingham, where he went to school at King Edward VI Camp Hill School for Boys, a state grammar school. His father was a university lecturer, and his mother was a piano teacher. He took a gap year. He studied Maths at the University of Hull from 1980, graduating in 1984. He was a member of the University of Hull team that were runners up in the 2014 ''Christmas University Challenge''. Career Music He responded to a local newspaper advertisement by The Housemartins singer Paul Heaton seeking musicians in 1983. Most of the band's songs were written by Heaton and Cullimore. Indie Rock
Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s. Originally used to describe independent record labels, the term became associated with the music they produced and was initially used interchangeably with alternative rock or "Pop rock, guitar pop rock". One of the primary scenes of the movement was Dunedin, where Dunedin sound, a cultural scene based around a convergence of noise pop and jangle became popular among the city's University of Otago, large student population. Independent labels such as Flying Nun Records, Flying Nun began to promote the scene across New Zealand, inspiring key college rock bands in the United States such as Pavement (band), Pavement, Pixies (band), Pixies and R.E.M. A composer is a person who writes music. The term is especially used to indicate composers of Western classical music, or those who are composers by occupation. Nick Jr
Nick Jr. (known on-air as the Nick Jr. Channel) is an American pay television channel spun off from Nickelodeon's long-running programming block of the same name. It is run by Paramount Global through its networks division's Kids and Family Group. The channel launched on September 28, 2009, and primarily targets preschoolers. Its lineup features a mix of originally-produced programming, along with series from the Nickelodeon weekday block; because of the two entities, Nick Jr. is known on-air as "the Nick Jr. Channel" (as of March 2018) to avoid confusion, especially at times of day where both services are carrying preschool programming. The Bopps
The Bopps are a children's musical group formed in the south west of England in 2010. Their members are Stan Cullimore, Keith Littler, Mike Cross and Joanna Ruiz. Formation Stan Cullimore was previously a member of the pop band The Housemartins who were popular during the 1980s. Other members of The Housemartins include Norman Cook otherwise known as Fatboy Slim and Paul Heaton who went on to form The Beautiful South. Since then Stan Cullimore has been involved in the production of children's television and music for such clients as Nickelodeon, CBeebies and CITV. Keith Littler has run a successful pre-school television production company - The Little Entertainment Groufor many years. The ''Bristol Post'' is a city/regional five-day-a-week (formerly appearing six days per week) newspaper covering news in the city of Bristol, including stories from the whole of Greater Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. It was titled the ''Bristol Evening Post'' until April 2012. The website was relaunched as BristolLive in April 2018. It is owned by Reach PLC, formerly known as Trinity Mirror.
