Stanley Brown (June 27, 1929 – August 2, 2009) was an American professional basketball player. While still a junior at South Philadelphia High School, Brown signed with Philadelphia Sphas in October 1946. He made his professional debut with the Sphas on October 26, 1946. He played for the Philadelphia Warriors (1947–48, 1951–52) in the BAA and NBA for 34 games. Stanley Harold Brown (15 March 1907 – 15 June 1978) was an English cricketer active in the late 1930s. Born at Arlesey, Bedfordshire, Brown was a right-handed batsman. Brown two appearances in first-class cricket for the Marylebone Cricket Club at Lord's. He made one appearance in 1930 against Wales and a second appearance against Kent in 1933, scoring a total of 26 runs. He later played minor counties cricket for Wiltshire in the 1937 and 1938 Minor Counties Championship, making seven appearances. He died at Hitchin, Hertfordshire on 15 June 1978. Stan Brown (English Footballer)
Stanley Brown (15 September 1941 – 15 March 2018) was an English footballer who played as a wing half in the Football League. Life and career Brown was born in Lewes, East Sussex. Between 1960 and 1972, he made 353 league appearances for Fulham, scoring 16 goals in that period. He was sent on loan to Brighton & Hove Albion in 1972, before moving to Colchester United. At the end of the 1972–73 season, Brown moved on to Wimbledon. He later played non-league football for clubs including Margate, Haywards Heath Town, Ringmer, Southwick and Burgess Hill Town, and went on to coach children in the Lewes area. Dr. Joseph Alfred Stanislaus Brown (May 9, 1898 — July 7, 1987) was a Canadian ice hockey defenceman. He played in 48 National Hockey League (NHL) games for the New York Rangers and the Detroit Cougars. He also earned a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Toronto. Sir Frederick Herbert Stanley Brown (9 December 1910 – 1997) was an English mechanical and electrical engineer. Born in Birmingham and educated at the King Edward's School, Birmingham he then went on to the University of Birmingham where he graduated with a first class honours degree in electrical engineering in 1932. In 1937 he was involved in the design and development of Hams Hall B power station. He joined the CEGB in 1958 upon its inception and in September 1959 he was appointed deputy chairman.
