Stadium Truck
A stadium truck is a small, off-road radio-controlled car, either rear wheel drive (example: Traxxas Rustler) or four wheel drive (example: Arrma Vorteks 4x4). Stadium trucks are distinct from other types of off-road R/C vehicles, such as buggies and short course trucks, by their combination of truck-style bodies and open-wheeled layout. The construction of most manufacturers' stadium trucks, are similar to those of buggies. Most feature wheels and tires that are both larger in diameter and wider for increased ground clearance and improved handling and stability. The chassis of most electric powered models is constructed of plastic or a fiber/plastic composite while internal combustion powered models typically have chassis made of aluminum. Traxxas Jato
Traxxas is a radio control model manufacturer based in McKinney, Texas. Traxxas offers electric and nitro powered radio-controlled cars, off-road and on-road vehicles, boats, and drones. Company history Starting in 1986, Traxxas began selling a series of electric powered stadium truck and buggy models. In 1989, Traxxas released its first radio-controlled boat, the Villan IV. Off-roading is the activity of driving or riding in a vehicle on unpaved surfaces such as sand, gravel, riverbeds, mud, snow, rocks, and other natural terrain. Trophy Trucks
A trophy truck, also known as a Baja truck or trick truck, is a vehicle used in high-speed off-road racing. This is an open production class and all components are considered legal unless specifically restricted. Although any truck that meets the safety standards can race the trophy truck class, they, for the most part, feature long travel suspensions and high power engines. They are intended for desert racing only, and are not street legal. These vehicles are properly known as "trophy trucks" when raced in SCORE International sanctioned races, and "trick trucks" when raced in Best in the Desert sanctioned races. Championship Off-Road Racing
Championship Off-Road Racing (usually abbreviated CORR) was a sanctioning body for short course off-road racing in the United States. It formed in 1998 and went bankrupt in 2008. Its Midwest races were supplanted in 2007 by the Traxxas TORC Series and by the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series on the West Coast in 2009. Both received most of the drivers and adopted the same racing format. History CORR was formed in 1998 by ESPN announcer Marty Reid.
