The Daniel Prodan Stadium is a multi-use stadium located in Satu Mare, Romania. It is currently used mostly for association football, football matches and is the home ground of CSM Satu Mare (football), CSM Satu Mare. For almost all its existence, the stadium was the home ground of Olimpia Satu Mare. The stadium holds 18,000 people, but only 1,500 on seats and it can also host athletics (sport), athletics competitions due to the clay track that surrounds the Association football pitch, pitch. Satu Mare
Satu Mare (; hu, Szatmárnémeti ; german: Sathmar; yi, סאטמאר or ) is a city with a population of 102,400 (2011). CSM Satu Mare (football)
Clubul Sportiv Municipal Satu Mare, commonly known as CSM Satu Mare, or simply as Satu Mare, is a Romanian football club based in Satu Mare, Satu Mare County, currently playing in the Liga III. This team represents the football section of the multi-sport club CSM Satu Mare, which also include basketball, volleyball and handball sections. CSM Satu Mare was established on 18 July 2007 and is fully supported by the Municipality of Satu Mare. The football section of CSM was established only in 2018, after the second dissolution of Olimpia Satu Mare and was enrolled in the Liga IV Satu Mare. Fotbal Club Olimpia MCMXXI Satu Mare, commonly known as Olimpia Satu Mare or simply as Olimpia, is a Romanian professional football club from Satu Mare, Satu Mare County, Romania, founded on 5 May 1921, re-founded in 2010 and 2018. A football pitch (also known as soccer field) is the playing surface for the game of association football. Its dimensions and markings are defined by Law 1 of the Laws of the Game, "The Field of Play". The pitch is typically made of natural turf or artificial turf, although amateur and recreational teams often play on dirt fields. Artificial surfaces are allowed only to be green in colour. Daniel Claudiu Prodan (23 March 1972 – 16 November 2016) was a Romanian footballer who played mainly as a central defender. In a career marred by injuries, he played mainly for Steaua București and represented the Romania national team in one World Cup and one European Championship.
