Brănești, Ilfov
Brănești is a commune in the far east of Ilfov County, Muntenia, Romania. Its name is derived from ''Bran'', a Romanian name, and the suffix -ești (placename element), -ești. It is composed of four villages: Brănești, Islaz, Pasărea, and Vadu Anei. The commune is located east of downtown Bucharest, on the border with Călărași County. It lies on the left bank of the river Pasărea (Dâmbovița), Pasărea, which separates it from the town of Pantelimon, Ilfov, Pantelimon and the commune Cernica to the west. Brănești is traversed by the A2 motorway (Romania), A2 motorway, which connects Bucharest to Constanța on the Black Sea coast, and by Roads in Romania, national road DN3, which connects Bucharest to Călărași and on to Constanța. CS Brănești
Clubul Sportiv Brănești is a Romanian amateur football club based in Brănești, Ilfov County, Romania, founded in 1968, dissolved in 2012 and refounded in 2019. At its best, the team played in the Liga I, top-flight league in the Romanian football league system. History The football team was founded in 1968 by football-loving people from the Brănești commune and played its entire history in the lower leagues of the Romanian football system. The ascension of the club practically began in 2007, after the club bought the place of Transkurier Sfântu Gheorghe in Liga III. In a first season in which Victoria's objective was to avoid relegation, the team succeeded by finishing eighth. Ilfov () is the Counties of Romania, county that surrounds Bucharest, the capital of Romania. It used to be largely rural, but, after the fall of communism, many of the county's villages and communes developed into high-income commuter towns, which act like suburbs or satellites of Bucharest. Cătălin Hîldan
Cătălin George Hîldan (3 February 1976 – 5 October 2000) was a Romanian professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Club career Cătălin Hîldan first came into contact with sports at the age of eight at the rugby club Olimpia together with his older brother Cristian. Two years later, in the summer of 1986, he joined football club Dinamo București where he worked with coach Ionuț Chirilă, playing alongside Florentin Petre, Mihai Tararache and others. His first match for Dinamo was on 2 October 1994 when coach Ion Moldovan sent him on the field in the 39th minute to replace Sulejman Demollari in a Divizia A derby against Steaua București which ended with a 2–0 loss. After a couple of months he was loaned to Oțelul Târgoviște in the third league, where he helped the team win promotion to the second division and then to the first.
