St Peregrines
St Peregrine's GAA, also known as Cumann Naomh Peregrine C.L.G., is a Gaelic Athletic Association club in Clonsilla, Fingal, Ireland. History The club was founded in 1978 when a group of local people got together with Fr. Joe Madden of the Servite Order and decided to form a GAA club of their own. Description The club caters for a range of age groups from four years upwards in the parishes of Hartstown, Huntstown, Porterstown, Blakestown and Mountview. St Peregrine's has a 500-seater spectator stand, a gym, astro turf and sports hall. Local rivals include St Brigid's and Castleknock. The adult football team competes in AFL3 and also competes in the Dublin Senior Football Championship, having won the IFC in 2006. The senior hurlers compete in AHL3 and the Intermediate Hurling Championship. The club is humorously referred to as " The Penguins" because of its strip. Clonsilla () is an outer suburb of Dublin in Fingal, Ireland. Clonsilla is also a civil parish in the barony of Castleknock in the historic County Dublin. Fingal
Fingal ( ; ) is a county in Ireland. It is located in the province of Leinster and is part of the Eastern and Midland Region. It is one of three successor counties to County Dublin, which was disestablished for administrative purposes in 1994. Eric Lowndes
Eric Lowndes (born 1994) is an Irish Gaelic footballer. His league and championship career as a corner-back at senior level with the Dublin county team has lasted four seasons since 2014. Lowndes made his debut on the inter-county scene when he was selected for the Dublin minor teams as a dual player in 2011. After back-to-back All-Ireland defeats with the hurlers, he ended his minor career as an All-Ireland medal winner with the footballers in 2012. He subsequently joined the Dublin under-21 team and won an All-Ireland medal in this grade in 2014. Lowndes made his senior debut during the 2014 league. Since then he has won three successive All-Ireland medals. Lowndes has also won four Leinster medals and three National League medals. ''See also Dublin Senior Football Championship'' The Dublin Intermediate Football Championship is an annual Gaelic Athletic Association competition organised by Dublin GAA between second-tier Gaelic football clubs in County Dublin, Ireland. It is the only team from Dublin to qualify for this competition. The Dublin Junior Football championship is the Junior Gaelic Athletic Association Gaelic football competition of Dublin. The winners of the Junior championship go on to qualify for the Dublin Intermediate Football Championship. The winners will also represent Dublin in the Leinster Junior Club Football Championship. St Vincent's are the most successful club in the Junior A championship having won the competition on six occasions, with their most recent victory in 2014 beating Craobh Ciarain in the final. New format In 2018, the grading system of Junior Championships was drastically changed. The Dublin Junior Football Championship is divided between Junior 1 and 2.
