St Marys A.F.C.
St Marys A.F.C. is a football club from Douglas on the Isle of Man. It competes in the Isle of Man Football League wearing a yellow and green kit. It plays its home games at The Bowl in Douglas. History Formed in 1893, the club is one of the oldest on the island. It has won the Manx FA Cup seven times. It won its first league title in 1928–29. It was the losing finalist in the Woods Cup in 1963–64. In 1983–84, the club was relegated to Division Two, finishing in last place, winning just one league game all season. In 1988–89, it was promoted as Division Two champions, but lasted just one season before being relegated in 1989–90. In 1990–91, it was promoted again as Division Two champions, not losing a league game all season. It also won the Paul Henry Gold Cup with a 3–0 win over Colby in the final. The Bowl (Douglas)
The King George V Bowl (commonly known as The Bowl) is a multi-use stadium in Douglas, Isle of Man, and the home of F.C. Isle of Man. With a capacity of 3,350, a third of which are under cover, and a viewing platform for disabled users, it is the largest stadium on the Island. The Bowl also serves as the home of the Isle of Man Football Association, Isle of Man official football team and Ellan Vannin football team. The highest attendance (3,327 spectators) was registered in the F.A. Inter League Cup Final on 28.04.12 against Jersey. Rushen ( ; gv, Rosien), formally Kirk Christ Rushen, is one of the seventeen historic parishes of the Isle of Man. It is located in the south of the island (part of the traditional ''South Side'' division) in the sheading of the same name. Administratively, part of the historic parish of Rushen, and the majority of the population, is now covered by the village districts of Port Erin and Port St Mary. Ayre ( ; gv, Inver Ayre) is one of the six sheadings of the Isle of Man. It is located in the north of the island (part of the traditional ''North Side'' division) and consists of the three historic parishes of Andreas, Bride and (Kirk Christ) Lezayre.
