The full stop (Commonwealth English), period (North American English), or full point , is a punctuation mark. It is used for several purposes, most often to mark the end of a declarative sentence (as distinguished from a question or exclamation). Annie St John (born Ann Florence Heywood; 8 September 1954 – 10 December 1990) was a British television broadcaster. Originally from Blackpool, Lancashire, she attended Blackpool Aspire Academy, Blackpool Collegiate Grammar School for Girls and the Rose Bruford College, Rose Bruford Drama School. She worked as a mahout at the Blackpool Tower Circus and in repertory theatre in Bolton, Salisbury and the Young Vic in London.
