Ven (Sweden)
Ven ( da, Hven, older Swedish spelling Hven) is a small Swedish island in the Øresund strait, between Scania and Zealand (Denmark). It is part of Landskrona Municipality, Scania County. The island has 371 inhabitants and an area of . During the 1930s, the population was at its peak, with approximately 1,300 inhabitants. There are four villages on the island: Bäckviken, Tuna By, Norreborg and Kyrkbacken. The island is best known as the location of Tycho Brahe's 16th-century observatories. Geography Unlike the relatively flat islands Amager and Saltholm, Ven rises from the Öresund with steep and dramatic coastlines. Fredrik Söderström (golfer)
Sven Olof Fredrik Söderström (born 30 January 1973) is a Swedish retired footballer who played as a midfielder. Club career Born in Ludvika, Söderström started his professional career with lowly IK Brage. In January 1997 he moved to Vitória de Guimarães in Portugal, where his stellar performances attracted the attention of fellow Primeira Liga club FC Porto. Söderström played 24 matches in his first season, but went on to serve consecutive loans for the remainder of his contract, mainly in that nation, as the northerners achieved consecutive European competition accolades. Christian Lars Nilsson (born 25 May 1979) is a Swedish former professional golfer. Professional career Nilsson was born in Karlstad, Sweden. He turned professional in 1999 with a plus 3 handicap. Nilsson played on the Challenge Tour full-time since 2004, playing few events before then. His first event on the European Tour was the 2005 Open Championship where he missed the cut. His first full season on the European Tour was 2006, and his second in 2007. In 2008 he played on both the Challenge and European Tours with his best finish a runner-up to David Dixon at the Saint-Omer Open, but he did not break through until 2009 at the same event.
