Raymond James French, MBE (born 23 December 1939) is an English former rugby league and rugby union footballer who played in the 1950s and 1960s. French played at international level in both codes. John Mantle (rugby)
John Mantle (13 March 1942 – 18 November 2018) was a Welsh dual-code international rugby player. He was capped for Wales at rugby union, and Great Britain and Wales in rugby league. Personal Education He attended Bedwellty Grammar School, and later Loughborough College. Rugby Union career Mantle began his rugby career at a young age, playing for the Wales School team. As an adult he played with Bargoed before switching to first class team Newport. International While representing Newport, Mantle was selected for his two Welsh rugby union caps. His first was when he was selected as part of the touring Wales team to Africa. Mantle played in the early games of the tour, including wins over East Africa in Nairobi, and Boland at Wellington. His first international was against South Africa in Durban in 1964, but Wales were outclassed and lost 24-3 in a one-sided match. Paul Loughlin
Paul John Loughlin (born 28 July 1966) is an English former rugby league who played for his hometown team St. Helens, the Bradford Bulls, the Huddersfield Giants and the Swinton Lions. Loughlin was born in St. Helens, Lancashire, England. He made his first team début for St. Helens against Oldham aged 17 in 1984. He went on to score over 2,000 points for the club, and holds the club record for most points scored in a game - 2 tries and 16 goals for a total of 40 points in a 112–0 victory over Carlisle during September 1986. In 1995, he was transferred to the Bradford Bulls as part of the record breaking deal to bring Paul Newlove to Knowsley Road. Loughlin was also a regular selection for Great Britain. Steve Llewellyn
Stewart Marshall "Steve" Llewellyn (29 February 1924 – 10 December 2002) was a Welsh rugby union and professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1940s and 1950s. He played club level rugby union (RU) for Abertillery RFC, and representative level rugby league (RL) for Wales and Other Nationalities, and at club level for St. Helens, as a , with whom he won two Challenge Cup titles and a Championship, later being inducted into the clubs Hall of Fame. Llewellyn was born in Abertyleri, Blaenau Gwent on 29 February 1924. He joined the Welsh Guards in 1943 and served in Italy during the Second World War. Having been playing rugby union for his hometown of Abertillery since 1945, Llewellyn signed with English rugby league club St Helens in January 1948. Vincent "Vince" Peter Patrick Karalius (15 October 1932 – 13 December 2008), also known as "the Wild Bull of the Pampas", was an English rugby league footballer, and coach. He played as a loose forward, and was part of the Great Britain squad which won the 1960 World Cup. He forged a fearsome reputation as a strong runner of the ball and a devastating tackler. Dick Huddart
Richard Huddart (22 June 1936 – 11 August 2021) was an English professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. A Great Britain and England international representative forward, he played at club level in England for Whitehaven and St Helens (with whom he won the 1961 Challenge Cup), and in Australia for St. George (with whom he won the 1966 NSWRFL Premiership).
