St. Thomas Municipal Airport located east of St. Thomas, Ontario, St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada is a small airport serving the general aviation needs of the area. It was established in 1941 as an air training base for the British Commonwealth Air Training Program. The base was operated by the Department of National Defence (Canada), Department of National Defence until the late 1940s as a relief field for RCAF Station Aylmer, No. 14 Service Flying Training School Aylmer, Ontario and RCAF Station Fingal, No. 4 Bombing & Gunnery School Fingal, Ontario. It has six runways, and four IFR approaches. The airport is classified as an airport of entry by Nav Canada and is staffed by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) on a call-out basis from the London International Airport. CBSA officers at this airport can handle general aviation aircraft only, with no more than 15 passengers. The airport was purchased by the City of St. Thomas in 1970.
