St. Nicholas Of Tolentine High School
St. Nicholas of Tolentine High School was a four-year, coeducational Catholic high school located in the University Heights neighborhood of the Bronx, New York. A parochial school operated by the parish of the same name, St. Nicholas of Tolentine Church, it opened in 1927 and closed in 1991, after years of declining enrollment. The school was known for its basketball program. In 1975, Tolentine was the nation's highest ranked high school. Finbarr O'Neill is an American automobile industry executive. He is currently chairman of APCO Holdings and former CEO of J.D. Power. He also served as the chief executive of Hyundai Motor America and Mitsubishi Motors North America. Biography O'Neill was born on a farm in Cookstown in Northern Ireland. Adrian "Red" Christopher Autry (born February 28, 1972) is an American basketball coach and former professional player who is the head coach for the Syracuse Orange men's basketball team of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). A former point guard for the Orange, Autry played from 1990–1994 and is currently ranked fifth in career assists (631) and sixth in career steals (217). After leaving Syracuse, Autry played professionally from 1995–2005 in various European leagues and USA Basketball. Brian Derreck Reese (born July 2, 1971) is a former professional basketball player and current assistant coach at Monmouth. He was a 6'6" player from the Bronx, NY. Reese went to High School at St. Nicholas of Tolentine High School where he was a McDonald's All-American. College Reese was born in Brooklyn, New York. He won the NCAA National Championship under Dean Smith with the University of North Carolina in 1993. He felt Dean Smith was a major influence on his life.
