St. Mary's Catholic High School is a Private school, private, Roman Catholic high school in Phoenix, Arizona, Phoenix, Arizona, United States. It is located in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Phoenix. History Saint Mary's High School was the first Catholic high school in Arizona, and has been part of the Greater Phoenix Metropolitan area since 1917. St. Mary's was founded by the Sisters of the Precious Blood. The founders set aside classroom space for four boys and ten girls at St. Anthony's Elementary school. This was the beginning of the Saint Mary's community. In 1920, Saint Mary's moved into its first, one-story home located on East Monroe Street. In 1928, all male students were transferred to Brophy College Preparatory School on North Central Avenue, leaving Saint Mary's school an all-girls facility. The NBA G League, or simply the G League, is the National Basketball Association's (NBA) official List of developmental and minor sports leagues, minor league basketball organization. The Birmingham Squadron are an American professional basketball team of the NBA G League based in Birmingham, Alabama, and are affiliated with the New Orleans Pelicans. Steve Belles (born November 21, 1966) is a former American football quarterback with the Arizona Rattlers of the Arena Football League. He subsequently became a high school football coach in Arizona, amassing five state championships at Hamilton High School in Chandler. Gerard Catholic High School was a Roman Catholic high school which opened in 1962 in Phoenix, Arizona. It was named for Msgr. Edward Gerard, one of the first ordained priests to minister in the Arizona territory. In the same year, Bourgade Catholic High School in west Phoenix opened.
