St. Louis Aces
The St. Louis Aces were a professional tennis team in the city of St. Louis, Missouri. They entered the World TeamTennis League in 1994, and won their only WTT Championship title two years later. The Aces played their home matches at the Dwight Davis Tennis Center in Forest Park. World TeamTennis
World TeamTennis (WTT) is a mixed-gender professional tennis league played with a team format in the United States, which was founded in 1973. The league's season normally takes place in the summer months. Players from the ATP and WTA take a break from their tour schedules to partake in World TeamTennis. WTT was the first professional sports league to grant equal status to each man and woman competing for their teams. Līga Dekmeijere (born 21 May 1983) is a Latvian tennis player. She has won one doubles title on the WTA Tour, as well as 19 doubles titles on the ITF Women's Circuit. Dwight Davis Tennis Center is a public tennis facility in Forest Park, St. Louis, Missouri. The center has 18 lighted tennis courts and 4 pickleball courts. The pickleball courts were added in 2017 and are painted on its Stadium Court which has adjacent seating for 1,100 spectators. The tennis courts formerly at this location were called the Jefferson Memorial courts.
