St. Joseph's College, Tiruchirappalli
St. Joseph's College, Tiruchirappalli (SJC) is a Catholic college in Tamil Nadu, India. It was established in 1844 by the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) and it is regarded as one of the most prestigious institutions in India. It was affiliated with Madras University in 1869 and is currently an affiliated first-grade college of Bharathidasan University. History The Society of Jesus (Jesuits) started St. Joseph's College in 1844. The Society of St. Joseph's, a body registered under the Societies Regulation Act (1860), owns the college. Around 30 Jesuits serve on the staff. In 2004, the University Grants Commission (UGC) recognised it as a College with Potential for Excellence (CPE). In 2012, the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) accredited the college A Grade (3rd Cycle). In 2014, the NAAC gave the college Five Star status. NACC gave it A++ Rank in 2019. Very large-scale integration (VLSI) is the process of creating an integrated circuit (IC) by combining millions or billions of MOS transistors onto a single chip. Prabhu Solomon (born 7 May 1969) is an Indian film director who has primarily worked on Tamil films. After making his debut in 1999, he had a middling career before rising to prominence with the success of the romantic tragedy film ''Mynaa'' (2010). Srirangam Kannan
Srirangam Kannan (born 5 May 1952) is an Indian musician and artist, known for playing the morsing. He has a degree in mathematics. Profile Vidwan Srirangam S. Kannan was born on 5 May 1952 in Srirangam to K Sathyamurthy and Kamalam. Growing up, he had little experience with Carnatic music. When he was 19 years old he heard a concert where Sri Pudukkotai S. Mahadevan played the morsing. Shortly afterwards, he became Mahadevan's disciple. He also learned more about ''laya'' (tempo) from Kanadukathan Rajaraman, a kanjeera and mridangam artist and a friend of Mahadevan. By age 23, Srirangam Kannan had started his career as a full-fledged morsing artist. The High Court of Andhra Pradesh is the High Court of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. The seat of the High Court is currently located at Nelapadu. The Madras High Court is a High Court in India. It has appellate jurisdiction over the state of Tamil Nadu and the union territory of Puducherry. It is located in Chennai, and is the third oldest high court of India after the Calcutta High Court in Kolkata and Bombay High Court in Mumbai. Sujatha (writer)
S. Rangarajan (3 May 1935 – 27 February 2008), better known by his allonym Sujatha, was an Indian author, novelist and screenwriter who wrote in Tamil. He authored over 100 novels, 250 short stories, ten books on science, ten stage plays, and a slim volume of poems. He was one of the most popular authors in Tamil literature, and a regular contributor to topical columns in Tamil periodicals such as Ananda Vikatan, Kumudam and Kalki. He had a wide readership, and served for a brief period as the editor of Kumudam, and has also written screenplays and dialogues for several Tamil films. Bhashyam Iyengar (6 November 1910 - 11 September 1987), better known by the pen name of Sandilyan, was an Indian writer known for his historical fiction novels in Tamil. He is known for his historical romance and adventure novels, often set in the times of the Chola and Pandya empires. Early life Sandilyan was born in Tirukoilur, Tamil Nadu on 10 November 1910Datta, P.631-2 to Ramanujam Iyengar and Poongovilvalli. His family was from Thiruindalur village near Mayiladuthurai.
