St. Anne's Church, Yekaterinburg
St. Anne's Church (russian: Храм Святой Анны) is a Roman Rite, Roman Catholic Church, Catholic church located in Yekaterinburg, in the Roman Catholic Diocese of the Transfiguration at Novosibirsk, Diocese of Novosibirsk in Russia, a suffragan of the Archdiocese of the Mother of God in Moscow. This church belongs to the group of parishes of the deanery of the Urals. The parish is run by the Sisters of the Congregation of Missionary Sisters of the Catholic Apostolate, founded by Vincent Pallotti, St. Vincent Pallotti (1795-1850). History The parish was founded in 1876 and included more than a thousand faithful. In 1884, the first stone church was built, entrusted to the patronage of St. Anne, mother of the Virgin Mary. His parish priest was shot after the October Revolution and the church was secularized. It was destroyed about 1960. The Roman Rite ( la, Ritus Romanus) is the primary liturgical rite of the Latin Church, the largest of the ''sui iuris'' particular churches that comprise the Catholic Church. It developed in the Latin language in the city of Rome and, while distinct Latin liturgical rites such as the Ambrosian Rite remain, the Roman Rite has gradually been adopted almost everywhere in the Latin Church. Vincent Pallotti
Vincent Pallotti (21 April 1795 – 22 January 1850) was an Italian ecclesiastic and a saint. Born in Rome, he was the founder of the Society of the Catholic Apostolate later to be known as the "Pious Society of Missions" (the Pallottines). The original name was restored in 1947. He is buried in the church of San Salvatore in Onda. He is considered the forerunner of Catholic Action. His feast day is 22 January. He was the uncle of Cardinal Luigi Pallotti (1829–1890).
