Koprivna () is a dispersed settlement in the Upper Meža Valley in the hills west of Črna na Koroškem in the Carinthia region of northern Slovenia on the border with Austria. The parish church in the settlement is dedicated to Saint James and belongs to the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Maribor. An altar is a table or platform for the presentation of religious offerings, for sacrifices, or for other ritualistic purposes. Black Madonna
The term ''Black Madonna'' or ''Black Virgin'' tends to refer to statues or paintings in Western Christendom of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Infant Jesus, where both figures are depicted with dark skin. The Black Madonna can be found both in Catholic and Orthodox countries. The paintings are usually icons which are Byzantine in origin or style, some of which were produced in 13th- or 14th-century Italy.
