Sri Lankan High Commissioner To Pakistan
The Sri Lankan High Commissioner to the Pakistan is the Sri Lankan envoy to Pakistan. Countries belonging to the Commonwealth of Nations typically exchange High Commissioners, rather than Ambassadors. Though there are a few technical differences (for instance, whereas Ambassadors present their diplomatic credentials to the host country's head of state, High Commissioners are accredited to the head of government), they are in practice one and the same office. Air Chief Marshal
Air chief marshal (Air Chf Mshl or ACM) is a high-ranking air officer originating from the Royal Air Force. The rank is used by air forces of many countries that have historical British influence. An air chief marshal is equivalent to an Admiral in a navy or a full general in an army or other nations' air forces. The rank of air chief marshal is immediately senior to the rank of air marshal but subordinate to marshal of the air force. Air chief marshals are sometimes generically considered to be air marshals. Vice Admiral Mohan Wijewickrama, RSP, VSV, USP (born 12 June 1953) is a former Sri Lankan senior naval officer turned politician. He served as the Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Navy from 2001 to 2005. He was appointed Governor of North Eastern Province from 2006 to 2007 and Governor of Eastern Province from 2007 to 2015, while serving as acting Governor of Northern Province. Hugh Fernando
Warnakulasuriya Ichchampullige Hugh Fernando (17 November 1916 -2 April 1993) was a Sri Lankan politician born in Nainamadama. He was the Speaker of the Sri Lankan Parliament. In 1952 he contested Nattandiya electorate as an independent candidate and lost to former speaker Albert Peries by 306 votes. Hugh was determined to defeat Peries in the next elections. By keeping to the proverb "failures are the pillars of success" he organised well in the electorate. He started workers' unions and many other societies and thereby strengthened his power. He published a newspaper called ''Janatha Hatana'' (struggle of workers) which contained good news about workers. At the 1956 general elections Fernando contested the Nattandiya electorate again as an independent candidate. At this stage he contacted a communicable disease and could not attend election meetings. Dr Dharmasena Attygalle (19 February 1925–1 June 1989) was an MP in Sri Lanka's parliament from 1972 to 1982. He served as the Deputy Minister of Health (1977–1980) and Minister of Indigenous Medicine (1980–1982) representing the Kesbewa electorate.
