Sri Lankabhimanya
Sri Lankabhimanya ( si, ශ්රී ලංකාභිමාන්ය, translit=Śrī Laṃkābhimānya; ta, சிறீ லங்காபிமான்ய, translit=Ciṟī Laṅkāpimāṉya; The Pride of Sri Lanka) is the highest national honours of Sri Lanka awarded by the President of Sri Lanka on behalf of the Government, falling alongside the National Hero of Sri Lanka. It is the country's highest civil honour and is conferred upon "''those who have rendered exceptionally outstanding and most distinguished service to the nation''". The honour can only be held by five Sri Lankans at any given time, and may also be conferred posthumously; A. T. Ariyaratne is the sole currently living recipient of the award. Since 1986, it has been awarded 8 times. The honour is conventionally used as a title or prefix to the name of the person who receives the award. Emblem Of Sri Lanka
The national emblem of Sri Lanka is used by the State of Sri Lanka and the Sri Lankan government in connection with the administration and government of the country. The current emblem has been in use since 1972 and created under the ideas and guidance of Nissanka Wijeyeratne. At the time, he was Permanent Secretary to the Ministry of Cultural Affairs and Chairman of the National Emblem and Flag Design Committee. The designer of the emblem was Venerable Mapalagama Wipulasara Maha Thera, and the artwork was by S. M. Seneviratne. The emblem features a gold lion Attitude (heraldry)#Passant, passant, holding a sword in its right fore paw (the same lion from the flag of Sri Lanka) in the centre on a maroon background surrounded by golden petals of a Nelumbo nucifera, Blue Lotus the national flower of the country. Sri Lankabhimanya Ranasinghe Premadasa ( si, රණසිංහ ප්රේමදාස ''Raṇasiṃha Premadāsa'', ta, ரணசிங்க பிரேமதாசா ''Raṇaciṅka Pirēmatācā''; 23 June 1924 – 1 May 1993) was the third President of Sri Lanka from 2 January 1989 to 1 May 1993. Before that, he served as the prime minister in the government headed by J. R. Jayewardene from 6 February 1978 to 1 January 1989. Maithripala Yapa Sirisena ( si, පල්ලෙවත්ත ගමරාළලාගේ මෛත්රීපාල යාපා සිරිසේන; ta, பல்லேவத்த கமராளலாகே மைத்திரிபால யாப்பா சிறிசேன; born 3 September 1951) is a Sri Lankan politician who served as the seventh President of Sri Lanka from 9 January 2015 to 18 November 2019. In March 2017 President of Sri Lanka Maithripala Sirisena awarded national honours to 90 individuals for distinguished services.
