Sri Lanka At The 2010 Commonwealth Games
Sri Lanka competed in the 2010 Commonwealth Games held in Delhi, India, from 3 to 14 October 2010. Sri Lanka was represented by 94 athletes (73 male, 21 female)
in 14 sports, with Diving, Lawn Bowls, Field Hockey, Rhythmic gymnastics and Netball not being represented. The 94 athletes represented an increase of 28 from Melbourne in 2006. Also the contingent consisted of 45 officials. Chinthana Vidanage was the flag bearer.

The Men's 400 metres at the 2010 Commonwealth Games as part of the athletics programme was held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on Thursday 7 October till Saturday 9 October 2010. The top three runners in each of the initial six heats automatically qualified for the second round. The next six fastest runners from across the heats also qualified. Those 24 runners competed in 3 semifinals, with the top two runners from each heat qualifying for the final plus the two fastest runners. The women's recurve individual archery event at the 2010 Commonwealth Games was a competition held as part of the archery programme at the Yamuna Sports Complex in Delhi, India, from 4 October to 10 October 2010. It was the second time that the recurve individual event for women had been included in the Commonwealth Games and the first time it had been contested since the 1982 Games in Brisbane, Australia. India's Deepika Kumari and Dola Banerjee won the gold and bronze medal respectively, with Alison Williamson of England winning the silver medal, all firsts for their nations in the women's recurve individual event.
