Sri Lanka's Got Talent
Sri Lanka's Got Talent (often abbreviated as SLGT) is a Sri Lankan television talent show which started in 2017 and originated from the Got Talent franchise. It is a Stein Studios production and will be aired on Sirasa TV. Contestants of any age, who possess some sort of talent, can audition for the show, with their performance judged by a panel of judges; the current lineup consists of Jackson Anthony, Soundarie David Rodrigo and Tillakaratne Dilshan. Those that make it through the auditions compete against other acts in a series of quarterfinals, and then the semifinals. Three acts are chosen in each quarterfinal by the judge board to move on to the semifinals. Series 1 Overview The preliminary rounds took place at E. L. Senanayake premises, Kandy on 30, 31 October and 1 November; at Mahinda College, Galle on 11 and 12 November and at Stein Studios on 24, 25 and 26 November. ''America's Got Talent'' (often abbreviated as ''AGT'') is a televised American talent show competition, and is part of the global ''Got Talent'' franchise created by Simon Cowell. The program is produced by Fremantle (as well as distributed by) and Syco Entertainment, and broadcasts on the NBC television network. It premiered on June 21, 2006 after plans for a British edition in 2005 were suspended, following a dispute within the British broadcaster ITV. Shri (; , ) is a Sanskrit term denoting resplendence, wealth and prosperity, primarily used as an honorific. Sri Lanka's Got Talent (Series 1)
The first season of Sri Lankan talent show competition series ''Sri Lanka's Got Talent'' was broadcast on Sirasa TV from 3 March to 30 September 2018. The judge board inncluded Jackson Anthony, Soundarie David Rodrigo and Tillakaratne Dilshan with Lahiru Perera, Dilhani Ekanayake, Bathiya and Santhush, Bathiya Jayakody and Pubudu Chathuranga serving as the guest judges for each semifinal respectively. The season was won by the Angampora Pool of the Sri Lanka Air Force, with the fast mental arithmetic act Nimna Hiranya coming in second and the fire dance act Nipuni Sithara placing third. Production The preliminary rounds took place at 3 locations in 2017, 30 October - 1 November at E. L. Senanayake Children's Park, E. L. Bathiya & Santhush ( si, භාතිය හා සන්තුෂ්), also known as BNS, are a Sri Lankan pop duo consisting of Bathiya Jayakody (born on December 22, 1976) and Santhush Weeraman (born on September 5, 1977), who met while at the "Mary Anne David School of Vocal Music" in Colombo (training mainly under the categories of classical and show tunes). They both were born in Colombo, Sri Lanka. They have been one of the most commercially successful music acts in Sri Lanka in the last two decades. Dilhani Ashokamala Ekanayake ( si, දිල්හානි ඒකනායක; born 4 March 1970) is an actress in Sri Lankan cinema, theater and television. One of the most popular film actresses in Sinhala cinema, Ekanayake has won several awards as the most popular actress in multiple times. India's Got Talent is a televised Indian Hindi language talent show series and is part of the '' Got Talent franchise''. The program is produced and distributed by Fremantle.
