Srbija Kargo
Srbija Kargo ( sr-cyr, Србија Карго; Anglicized: Serbia Cargo) is the national state-owned cargo railway company of Serbia. History In March 2015, the Government of Serbia announced its plan to establish three new railway companies, splitting the Serbian Railways state-owned company in separate businesses – passenger ( Srbija Voz), cargo ( Srbija Kargo) and infrastructure ( Serbian Railways Infrastructure). Srbija Voz was founded on 10th of August 2015, as the national passenger railway company of Serbia, after being split from the Serbian Railways, in the process of reconstruction and better optimization of business. In May 2018, Srbija Kargo ordered eight Vectron locomotives manufactured by Siemens in Germany, worth 32 million euros. It also announced that it will overhaul its 1,100 wagons during 2018. ŽS series 641 is a Serbian code for shunting Hungarian-made diesel-electric locomotive class on Serbian Railways. Formerly it was operated by Yugoslav Railways under designation JŽ series 641. This class has nickname "Mađarica" (Hungarian girl) as they were produced in Hungary. History Originally JŽ series 641 was known as MÁV M44, similar to PKP class SM41. ŽS series 621 is a Serbian code for shunting Czech-made diesel-electric locomotive class on Serbian Railways. This class has nicknames "Žutka" (Yellow) and "Osica" (little wasp) as they were originally painted in yellow livery and "Trafika" (Newsstand). The Vectron is a locomotive series made by Siemens Mobility, introduced at the 2010 InnoTrans trade fair in four prototype versions: diesel, multi-system, and both AC and DC electric power.
