''Square'' is a studio album by Canadian hip hop musician Buck 65. It was released on WEA in 2002. Although it consists of four tracks, each track consists of multiple songs. The album was nominated for the 2003 Juno Awards for Alternative Album of the Year and Album Design of the Year. Critical reception Rollie Pemberton of ''Pitchfork'' gave the album a 7.0 out of 10, describing it as "a melodic mix of folk rock sensibility, smooth early 90s style production, clever lyrical observations and a relatively enjoyable train ride into the mental station of Halifax's best-known emcee." Buck 65
Richard Terfry (born March 4, 1972), better known by his stage name Buck 65, is a Canadian alternative hip hop artist. Underpinned by an extensive background in abstract hip hop, his more recent music has extensively incorporated blues, country, rock, folk and avant-garde influences. Terfry is also a radio host, hosting the weekday ''Drive'' show on CBC Music since September 2, 2008. In addition, he once hosted a weekday program on CBC Radio 3's web radio station. DJ Signify is an underground hip hop producer from Brooklyn, New York. Roland "Rollie" Pemberton, better known by his stage name Cadence Weapon, is a Canadian-American rapper based in Toronto, Ontario. Born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, Pemberton released his first album, ''Breaking Kayfabe'', in 2005 with positive reviews. The Juno Award for Alternative Album of the Year is presented annually at Canada's Juno Awards to honour the best album of the year in the alternative rock and/or indie rock genres. The award was first presented in 1995 under the name Best Alternative Album, and adopted its current name in 2003.
