Spånga-Tensta Borough
Spånga-Tensta is a borough (''stadsdelsområde'') located in Västerort in the western part of Stockholm, Sweden. The districts that make up the borough are Bromsten, Flysta, Lunda, Solhem, Sundby and Tensta. A large portion of Järvafältet is also located in Spånga-Tensta as well as in the districts of Akalla and Husby in neighboring Rinkeby-Kista borough. The borough includes of the community of Spånga. The population is 34,448 on an area of 12.85 km2, which gives a density of 2,680.78/km2. Transport The transport provided is: *Rail: The Blue Line of the Stockholm Metro, running from Kungsträdgården in the city centre to Hjulsta station in the north west. European route E18 runs from Craigavon in Northern Ireland to Saint Petersburg in Russia, passing through Scotland, England, Norway, Sweden and Finland. It is about in length. Although the designation implies the possibility of a through journey, this is no longer practical as there are no direct car ferry crossings between the United Kingdom and Norway. Stockholm commuter rail ( sv, Stockholms pendeltåg) is the commuter rail system in Stockholm County, Sweden. Stockholm Metro
The Stockholm metro ( sv, Stockholms tunnelbana) is a rapid transit system in Stockholm, Sweden. The first line opened in 1950, and today the system has 100 stations in use, of which 47 are underground and 53 above ground. There are three coloured lines, as shown on the tube maps, which form seven numbered routes with different termini. Routes numbered 17, 18 and 19 (green line), 13 and 14 (red line) and 10 and 11 (blue line) all go through the centre of the city, resulting in a very centralized system. All three lines and seven routes interchange at T-Centralen station. Apart from this, there are three other interchange between lines, at Fridhemsplan, Slussen and Gamla stan stations. Spånga
Spånga is a community and parish in the borough of Spånga-Tensta in Stockholm County, Sweden. Background Spånga was an independent municipality until January 1, 1949 when most of it was merged with the City of Stockholm, with smaller portions of the area merging with Solna, Sundbyberg, and Sollentuna municipalities. Spånga was originally the name of a village centered on Spånga Church (''Spånga kyrka''), which dates to the 12th century. Spånga is home to the largest TV studio in Sweden run by NEP Group which has 3 studio in total there, shows including Idol 2020 have been filmed there. Due to Covid-19 Melodifestivalen is considering using the studios for 2021 to film all 6 editions instead of the nationwide tour. Husby is a district ( sv, stadsdel) in Rinkeby-Kista borough, Stockholm, Sweden. Husby has 11,551 inhabitants as of December 31, 2007. Husby is located on the blue Metro line. The main construction of modern Husby, with its multi-level concrete apartment buildings, started in 1972 as part of the '' Million Programme''. Akalla
Akalla is a district ( sv, stadsdel) in Rinkeby-Kista borough, Stockholm, Sweden. Akalla has a population of roughly 9.100 as of 2018, in which immigrants, mostly from Asia and Africa, make up 60,4% of the population. Akalla is located on the blue metro line. Modern Akalla, with its concrete apartment buildings, as well as smaller houses, was constructed in the mid-1970s as a part of the Million Programme. The suburb is built close to, and named after an old farm from the 17th century. The name of Akalla is known from 1323. Tensta is a district in Spånga-Tensta, Spånga-Tensta borough, Stockholm, Sweden. There are about 6,000 apartments in TenstaSwedish welfare policy with Tensta as a case study and a population of 17,083 as of December 31, 2007. Modern Tensta, with its Plattenbau-style concrete apartment buildings, was constructed in the 1960s. Like nearby Rinkeby and Hjulsta, it was part of the Million Programme, and became known nationwide in the late 1960s.
