Courage
Courage (also called bravery or valor) is the choice and willingness to confront agony, pain, danger, uncertainty, or intimidation. Valor is courage or bravery, especially in battle. Physical courage is bravery in the face of physical pain, hardship, even death, or threat of death; while moral courage is the ability to act rightly in the face of popular opposition, shame, scandal, discouragement, or personal loss. The classical virtue of fortitude (''andreia, fortitudo'') is also translated "courage", but includes the aspects of perseverance and patience. In the Western tradition, notable thoughts on courage have come from philosophers Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, Aquinas, and Kierkegaard, as well as Christian beliefs and texts. In the Hindu tradition, mythology has given many examples of bravery, valor and courage, with examples of both physical and moral courage exemplified. Semen
Semen, also known as seminal fluid, is an organic bodily fluid created to contain spermatozoa. It is secreted by the gonads (sexual glands) and other sexual organs of male or hermaphroditic animals and can fertilize the female ovum. Semen is produced and originates from the seminal vesicle, which is located in the pelvis. The process that results in the discharge of semen from the urethral orifice is called ejaculation. In humans, seminal fluid contains several components besides spermatozoa: proteolytic and other enzymes as well as fructose are elements of seminal fluid which promote the survival of spermatozoa, and provide a medium through which they can move or "swim". The fluid is designed to be discharged deep into the vagina, so the spermatozoa can pass into the uterus and form a zygote with an egg. Semen is also a form of genetic material. In animals, semen has been collected for cryoconservation. Cryoconservation of animal genetic resources is a practice that call ... The alternative debut album Several parties, including some journalists in the British music press, immediately suspected that the band's manager, Malcolm McLaren, was responsible for the original ''Spunk'' bootleg. This would have been in breach of the band's record contract with Virgin, which was readying the release of ''Never Mind the Bollocks'' when ''Spunk'' appeared. An October 1977 ''Sounds'' article by Chas de Whalley discussed ''Spunk'' and made reference to this conveniently coincidental timi ... Spunk (candy)
Spunk is a brand of Danish candy, launched in 1971 by Danish candy manufacturers Galle & Jessen and commonly sold in Denmark and Germany. History In 1971 Galle & Jessen were looking for a name for their new candy. They came across the name "Spunk" in the Pippi Longstocking book ''Pippi in the South Seas'', in which Pippi invents a word for which she can find no use. The boxes bear the name ''Spunk'' and a drawing of a "fantasy animal" made by an 8-year-old girl. As with the Danish Ga-Jol pastilles (also produced by Galle & Jessen), the boxes have a little saying or word of advice on the inside of the box lid. Varieties Spunk comes in three versions: * pastilles made from salty liquorice and sold in a black box * wine gums of four different flavours and colours—red, yellow, green, and orange—sold in a green box * brown cola Cola is a carbonated soft drink flavored with vanilla, cinnamon, citrus oils and other flavorings. Joan Stark
Joan G. Stark, also known by her pseudonym Spunk or her initials jgs, is an American ASCII artist. Stark was first exposed to the art of ASCII in the summer of 1995 and by July 1996 had taken to the creation of ASCII art. From 1996 to 2003 she created several hundred works of art, most of which were posted to the Usenet newsgroup alt.ascii.art. Between 1996 and 1998 her website, which she updated at least once a month, received over 250,000 unique visitors. Stark's involvement in ASCII art has been taken as an example of increased online participation by women, and her imagery as an example of ASCII art becoming "softer, more stereotypically feminine." Stark works primarily in white-on-black, but creates in color as well. Many of her works have a folk art Folk art covers all forms of visual art made in the context of folk culture. Definitions vary, but generally the objects have practical utility of some kind, rather than being exclusively decorative. The makers of folk ...
