Sprout Sharing Show
The Sprout Sharing Show is a programming block on the Sprout cable channel. The show premiered on May 5, 2008, airing on daily afternoons (3PM-6PM EST) in the lineup formerly occupied by The Let's Go Show , however, The Let's Go Show moved to a weekend lineup (6AM-7:30AM and 9AM-11AM EST) until September 2010. It features three new programs which encourage viewers (referred to on the channel as "Sproutlets") to send in photos, videos, artwork, and stories. Programs and segments are introduced by the show's puppet hosts: Patty (a pig voiced by Kelly Vrooman), Ricky (a rabbit voiced by Kevin Yamada), and Curtis E. Owl (voiced by Brendan Gawell), whose first name and middle initial are a pun on the word "courtesy". Other characters include Patty's mother, Ricky's father and Curtis' younger brother, Otis, who plays the ukulele. It ended on May 11, 2014. Sprout (TV Network)
Universal Kids is an American children's television channel owned by the NBCUniversal Television and Streaming unit of Comcast's NBCUniversal. The channel launched on September 26, 2005, as PBS Kids Sprout, a preschool-oriented channel jointly operated by PBS, Comcast, Sesame Workshop, and HIT Entertainment, as an offshoot of the PBS Kids brand. After the acquisition of NBC Universal by Comcast in 2011, the company began to buy out the remaining owners' shares in the network. NBCUniversal became the sole owner of the network in 2013, after which it was renamed Sprout. Under NBCUniversal ownership, the channel increased its investments into original programming. Dragon Tales
''Dragon Tales'' is an animated educational fantasy children's television series created by Jim Coane and Ron Rodecker and developed by Coane, Wesley Eure, Jeffrey Scott, Cliff Ruby and Elana Lesser and produced by Sony Pictures Television, Sesame Workshop, Columbia TriStar Television, and Adelaide Productions. The story focuses on the adventures of two ordinary kids, Emmy and Max, and their dragon friends Ord, Cassie, Zak, Wheezie, and Quetzal. ''The Chica Show'' is an American live-action/animated children's television series based on the puppetry segments of ''The Sunny Side Up Show'' on Sprout, which features the chicken puppet character Chica in full episodic and animated adventures rather than the traditional continuity of ''The Sunny Side Up Show''. The program premiered on November 24, 2012, with a preview episode airing on October 31, 2012. The program began to air as part of the NBC Kids block on Comcast/NBCUniversal's sister network NBC in February 2013, and is fully compliant with E/I regulations. ''Chloe's Closet'' is an animated children's series produced by MoonScoop Entertainment and Telegael Teoranta. The series is mainly aimed for children ages 2 to 7 years old. The show premiered in the United States on PBS Kids Sprout on July 12, 2010, and later aired in the United Kingdom on CITV and Cartoonito. Plot The adventures of a young girl (Chloe) and her friends (Tara, Jet, Danny, Riley, Lillian, Mac and Carys) and her toys (Lovely Carrot, Wizz and Soggy) as they go on magical adventures while playing dress-up in her closet in her room. The Wiggles
The Wiggles are an Australian children's music group formed in Sydney in 1991. The group are currently composed of Anthony Field, Lachlan Gillespie, Simon Pryce and Tsehay Hawkins, as well as supporting members Evie Ferris, John Pearce, Caterina Mete and Lucia Field. The Wiggles were founded in 1991 by Field, Murray Cook, Jeff Fatt, Greg Page and Phillip Wilcher. Wilcher left the group after their first album. Page retired in 2006 due to ill health and was replaced by understudy Sam Moran, but returned in 2012, replacing Moran. At the end of 2012, Cook, Fatt and Page retired and were replaced by Gillespie, Pryce and Emma Watkins. Pingu
''Pingu'' is a stop-motion children's television series co-created by Otmar Gutmann and Erika Brueggemann. It was originally produced from 1990 to 2000 by Swiss company The Pygos Group (originally called Trickfilmstudio) for SF DRS in Switzerland. It was later revived from 2003 to 2006 for CBeebies by British companies HIT Entertainment and Hot Animation. The series focuses on a family of anthropomorphic emperor penguins who live in the South Pole; the main character is the family's son and title character, Pingu. The series originally ran for four series from 7 March 1990 to 9 April 2000 on SF DRS. It was then renewed for two more series from 1 August 2003 to 3 March 2006 on CBeebies. The Hoobs
''The Hoobs'' is a live-action/animated children's television series created and produced by The Jim Henson Company and Decode Entertainment for Channel Four. Five series of 52 episodes were produced. Concept Channel 4 announced in November 2000 that a new educational series, titled "The Hoobs", had been developed for a pre-school audience. In a £20 million joint venture between Channel 4 and The Jim Henson Company, the channel commissioned 250 half-hour episodes which were to be broadcast from early 2001 (to replace Sesame Street). Big Adventures!'') is a British children's television series that aired across 24 series from 1984 to 2021. Based on ''The Railway Series'' books by Rev. W. Awdry and his son Christopher, the series was developed for television by Britt Allcroft. ''Zoboomafoo'' is a live-action/animated children's television series that originally aired on PBS from January 25, 1999, to June 7, 2001. It was formerly shown in public television (depending on the area) and was regularly shown on Sprout until 2013. A total of 65 episodes were aired. A creation of the Kratt Brothers (Chris and Martin), it features a talking lemur (a Coquerel's sifaka) named Zoboomafoo, performed by Canadian puppeteer Gord Robertson (who had also puppeteered on Jim Henson's ''Fraggle Rock''), and mainly portrayed by a lemur named Jovian, along with a collection of returned animal guests. The Mighty Jungle (Canadian TV Series)
